From Valentine's Day on, Sulgi and began spending a lot of time with Nana when we weren't at school and when I wasn't at the hospital. She was a year older than us, having been born in '00, but we hardly noticed when she hung out with us. Sure she was a bit different, but only because she grew up in the gang life like her brother. It was really cool hearing some of her stories, but they made me feel bad for her. She and Jisung had had a rough life.

Today was a Saturday, so the three of us girls were planning on hanging out after my appointment at the hospital. As usual, I went with my mom as she went in for her shift that morning and was a bit early. Due to my punctuality, I went by to see Junhye before my appointment with Eunwoo. To my surprise, her mom was there. I hadn't met her mom before, but she'd apparently heard about me.

"You must be y/n, right? Junhye talks about you a lot when I have time to come be with her." Her mother, Yunha, was sitting next to her, holding her tiny hand.

"I am. I have an appointment soon, so I thought I'd stop by to see Junhye before I went to it." I smiled as I wheeled myself to the other side of Junhye. "How's she's doing?"

Her mom's smile faded momentarily before returning as she spoke. "It's not improving, but it's not getting worse either. I'm thankful that she's not getting worse. What about you? You have bone cancer too, right?"

I nodded, smiling softly. "I still can't talk because the source of the cancer is in my leg, but the doctor's are hopeful. I'm here for another checkup, so if I'm lucky, that will still be the case."

The next few weeks were full of doctor's appointments and little visits from my friends in the gang, Sulgi, and my family. The hospital was trying to schedule the surgery to be as soon as possible. Eventually they settled on a date about a month from the day that they settled on the date.

That month was very stressful for my parents and doctors as they prepared for the surgery and worried about the outcome. The day of was the worst day of all. My mom was so out of it that the hospital stopped her from working. The police station did the same for my dad. Neither one of them left my side all day until the surgery. It was a school day, so Jeongin and Sulgi wouldn't be able to stop by until after school. Nana, Jisung, and Lee Know decided to wait until after the surgery to stop by as well so I wouldn't be too overwhelmed.

The moment of truth had finally come. If I survived the surgery, I'd be fine. If not...Well I think it's pretty self explanatory what would happen then. Let's not think about that option though.

Here we go guys. This is it. Next chapter is the last chapter. I honestly haven't decided on whether to do a happy ending or a sad ending. Maybe I'll consult my Instagram followers.
