It's been almost six months since I'd been taken hostage by Taewoo's gang, and it may be one of the most boring experiences of my life (and I do nothing almost everyday since I'm homeschooled). Hyorin unni's pregnancy has become very obvious, but they refuse to let her see a doctor about it, so we know nothing about the baby or her health. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about her. She was pregnant and the guys didn't exactly feed us like a normal human should be fed, much less a pregnant woman. I was losing weight, and it was quite obvious. Six months ago, I was the perfect weight for a girl my size. Now you could see my hip bones when I walked and my ribs stuck out. The clothes I had been wearing when I first came were now way too big. The guys may not have been physically beating us, but they were still putting us through some type of torture.
They were still acting like I was Seojun's girl or whatever, which I guess was something to be thankful for. Apparently, Jaehwa would have raped me by now if I weren't, even if he's in his twenties and I'm a teenager. Do people like that really exist? Jaehwa was actually the nicest of all of them in my opinion. Sure he was rough around the edges, but if he weren't raised being in a gang, he'd probably be a pretty stand-up guy.
Anyway, I was close to the point of giving up on ever getting rescued. It'd been six months and I hadn't heard from my parents or the guys who'd been made my guardians the day before my capture. Frankly, that was the most distressful part of this experience. The feeling that no one was coming for me, that maybe Jeongin had forgotten about me, that maybe he'd gotten another girlfriend in my place, that I was so easy to replace, that was soul crushing. I was fearful that my dad was more worried about finding his top police officer than about finding his only daughter. I had nothing to tell me otherwise, and my dad had always been with the officers more than he'd been with me. Hyorin was like a daughter to him. As for Jeongin...we hadn't known each other very long, and we'd just started dating. Would it be so peculiar for him to find a new girlfriend so soon? Maybe they all assumed I was dead and were moving on with their lives like I had never even met them.
As I was contemplating this, the door to what had been deemed my room opened, revealing one of the gang members I'd seen less of: Lee Minkyu.

He approached me quietly, not saying anything but that he needed me for something. Before I could respond, he had a blindfold over my eyes and was pushing me out the door and outside based on the breeze. Before long, I was pushed into what could only be the backseat of a car. Once I heard the doors close twice, Minkyu finally started talking.
"Seojun doesn't know about this. None of them do, and if all goes well, we'll both get what we want. You'll get your freedom back, and I'll get my brother back. The only problem would be...I can't go back to the gang if this goes according to plan. I just hope they got my message." His voice showed signs of stress, as if he were scared of what the result would be.
Wait...brother? Is he going to trade me for someone else? Who would want me to be safe that would have his brother? I mean, his brother could be in jail, which would mean he's taking me to my dad, but he's too smart for that. All he'd accomplish with that is getting himself arrested too. The only other people I can think of would be the boys, but they aren't the type to kidnap unless...Minho! Their surnames are both Lee and they have the same generational name! How did I not fit that together before? I'm so dumb.
