I rushed back to the hotel to get ready for my big date with Chace Crawford. Saying it outloud like that felt weird, then again, I had dated Niall Horan for a couple of months. However this was very different, Chace was a very successful TV Show/Movie actor, and he was much older than I was which got me even more excited. For a girl from Montreal, Quebec I was doing pretty well in the dating department, I had to admit. I had to tell the news to my girls, so I called them up in New York and called Gab up who was somewhere off in Europe. She would kill me for charging her roaming. However in my defense she had told me to contact her in case of an emergency, and this was definitely an emergency. What was I going to wear on a date with Chace Crawford. I mean, it was Chace Crawford after all! Chances were we would go to some Elite restaurant and then go to a club where only VIP people were present. They all took a couple of seconds to answer their phones. Gab was the first one on, “Amanda, I swear this better be an emergency.”
“It is, let’s just wait for the other two bozos to click in too.”
A couple of awkward seconds passed then they finally came on the line.
“Hello?” Steph asked.
“What’s going on?” Kelly asked.
“Okay, to summarize in three statements. Becky told Niall to stay away from me for good. Nick broke up with me after seeing the picture of me in the towel outside Niall’s apartment. Then I met Chace Crawford and we’re going out for dinner tonight.”
“WHAT!” They all screamed at the same time. They were all shocked with the three short but deadly statements I had just stated. I heard Gab hyperventilating on her end of the phone. Chace Crawford had always been her number 1 celebrity. She swore he was the only one she would break up with Michael for. Kelly told me she had run into Nick and he had told her what had happened. She was shocked that he broke up with me. I told her “it is what It is. If he wants space, that’s what I’m going to give him. There was a reason I couldn’t say I love you and I think we all know what that reason was. I need to stay single, go out, figure out what I want.” I told them, but deep inside I knew what I really wanted but I just couldn’t have him so I had to find a healthy way to move on and get him out of my head. Going out with Chace seemed like a good start for me getting over him.
“What are you going to wear?” Steph said excitedly
“I don’t know!” I squealed, “Hence the emergency!”
“Wear your sexy see through blouse and high waited shorts.” Gab said.
“No, he said for me to wear something black.” I replied.
“How about that sexy black dress you have. It seemed to be very successful with the men in the past.” Kelly said.
I laughed out loud, “Should I black dress, Steve Madden it tonight?” I asked.
“YES!” All of them squealed.
“Have fun tonight babe, I’ve got to go, Michael and I are going to the beach. Love yous bye” She said as she hung up the phone.
“Yeah, I’m gonna go too. I’m spending the day with Josh. Have fun tonight. Take a picture and get me an autograph.” Steph said.
“I will. Tell Josh I say hi”
“Done!” She replied and hung up.
“And then there were two.” Kelly replied, “How excited are you?”
“So excited. Honestly, I’ve been on such an emotional roller coaster today it’s ridiculous, I just need some normal fun; a night I can enjoy myself and not have to worry about anything.”
