This Isn't The End

“You guys are being so loud, we could hardly sleep.” Maura said, “Just keep it down a little. Amanda, just scream into a pillow.”

Oh my god, kill me, I couldn’t believe this was happening. Bobby winked at Niall, “That’s my boy.” They both left in a hurry back to their room. It turns out that Maura and Bobby were crashing at Niall’s apartment and he hadn’t told me.

“Did you know they were here?” I asked.

“To be honest with you love, I kind of forgot with all that beer I drank at the reception.” He said. He then grazed my thigh. He kept coming closer and closer but I rolled over. I was so embarrassed. He sat up and comforted me, “Oh come on! This is hilarious.”

“Glad I could entertain you.” I said as I pouted. I wasn’t mad, I just thought we had been alone and it comes as a huge shock if something like that would happen.

“Where were we?” He said as he started kissed my neck again.

“No, you’re cut off.” I told him as I kissed him on the cheek.

“Oh come on. You’re not mad are you?”

“No, not mad, you just wore me out and I’m not in the mood anymore.”

He put his arms around me and snuggled up to me. “Alright, we can go to bed. Goodnight baby. I love you.”

“I love you too.” I told him back. I lay there in Niall’s arms and there was no where I would rather be. This is where I belonged. It was he and I against the world. As long as we loved each other, nothing could stop us. I could hear him laughing as I was trying to sleep. He was still thinking about his mother and father walking in on us having sex. I had to admit, once you get past the embarrassment, it was pretty hilarious. I laughed out loud and hit him to stop making me laugh but laughing was like a contagion between the two of us. Once one started laughing, the other one would start laughing within a matter of seconds. It was always like this between him and I. If I spent the rest of my life laughing, I swear, I’d be the happiest girl on the planet.

As usual I woke up the next morning before Niall. I had always been an early bird, regardless of what time I would go to bed at. I snuck out of bed, trying to be as quiet as possible. I put Niall’s robe around me and tightened the sash. I opened the door quietly and tip-toed out quickly. Maura was in the kitchen cooking breakfast. I took a deep breath. This was going to be awkward. I walk slowly over to the kitchen. Maura turned around from the stove and looked at me with a smile. I went to go open the refrigerator to get some milk. Neither of us was saying anything though. As awkward as this was for me, I knew she was feeling the tension as well.

“Look, I don’t want things to be awkward between us.” She finally said, “You are both adults, and you both love each other. It just comes as a little bit of a shock when you see it right in front of you.” I nodded at her, still a little ashamed to say anything.

“I’m glad that you and my son are back together.” She told me. “I have always supported your relationship with Niall because you make him the happiest I have ever seen him.”

“Even happier than the first time he went to nandos?” I joked around to lighten up the mood.

She laughed at my joke and added, “Ok, maybe it’s not the HAPPIEST, but definitely comes in second place.”

I looked down as she made her way over to me and put her arms around me. “I’m so happy you guys finally made your way back to each other, we all thought it was about time.” I smiled as she hugged me. Getting mama Horan’s approval was very important to me. Niall’s family was very important to him, therefore they were very important to me. Having her give me a hug after what had happened last night meant a lot to me. “So what do you say, shall we eat?”
