I had called up Ruth later that day to make sure it was alright to take time off. She wasn’t too keen on me going on vacation but I ensured her that it wasn’t a vacation, I would be doing research on One Direction, since I was only going to London to go to one of the member’s engagement parties. The second she heard me say that she asked me if I wanted her to pay for my flight, which I thought was generous, but refused.

Steph, Kelly and Gab had all left for London a day before I did. My last night in New York, Nick came over and we spent a quiet evening together. He held me on the couch as we watched a movie together. He had chosen The Notebook because he knew it was my favorite movie, but what he didn’t know was that The Notebook reminded me of Niall. It was the first movie we ever watched on the first night we met. Throughout the movie, I was thinking about Niall and that very special night we spent together. At that stage, it was so easy, there was only him and I. No one knew we were together, there was no commotion, no drama, just he and I. That’s what I wanted. I wanted our relationship to be like it was the first night, but we could never go back there, there was no way. As I looked up at Nick, I couldn’t get Niall’s face out of head. It freaked me out a little bit. Maybe I wasn’t as over Niall as I thought I was. It made me nervous that I was going to see him for the first time, face to face when I got to London, but at the same time, I was kind of excited to see him.

Nick drove me to the airport the next morning. He kissed me goodbye and told me to have a great time. He was just so perfect, I owed it to him to find out what these feelings for Niall were. If those feelings were still strong, I had to let Nick go. I didn’t want to think about that yet though. I only wanted to deal with that when I got to that stage. I took out my music on the plane and drifted off. The music on my iphone however is very romantic, and I relate to many of the song’s lyrics. The one song that really stuck out to me was “It Is What It is” by Lifehouse. It almost brought me to tears. The lyrics were about a couple who broke up, but they loved each other so much, however they couldn’t make it work because the issues they had remained the same. I was listening to the lyrics and it brought tears to my eyes.

“Somewhere in this city is a road I know, where we could make it, but maybe there’s no making it now. Too long we’ve been denying now we’re both tired of trying. We hit a wall and we can’t get over it. Nothing to relive, it’s water under the bridge, you said it, I get it, I guess it is what it is. I was only trying to bury the pain, but I made you cry and I can’t stop the crying. Was only trying to save but I lost you again. Here it comes ready or not, we both found out it’s not how we thought that it would be, how it would be. If the time could turn us around what once was lost may be found for you and me.”

I woke up in London where Gab and Michael came to pick me up. Looking around the airport, it reminded me of the past. There were some very good memories at were made in that airport. Gab was excited to see me. The engagement party was starting at 5pm and it was now 1pm so we had to get ready quickly. Michael drove us quickly to the hotel to get ready. We ran out to the hotel as Michael drove off. He had to pick up a couple of thing before the reception. Gab and I met up with the other girls in Gab’s hotel room. Mary Rose had joined as well. Everyone looked breathtaking. We had all decided to dress up in long gowns for the occasion. They were all very similar. I had chosen a dark blue gown that had an open back. I started to curl the end of my hair to give it a more formal look. Michael joined us soon after at the hotel. “Wow, you girls look absolutely breathtaking.” He said. He looked around the room looking for Gab. “Where’s my wife?”

“Bathroom.” Steph told him.

He headed for the bathroom to give her a kiss then went to their bedroom to get dressed. He came out looking very spiffy in his purple dress shirt and white tie. Gab and Michael were matching, they were just the cutest couple I had ever seen. There was a knock on the door. Steph went to go open it and it was Harry standing at the door. “Kelly, your boyfriend is here!!” She screamed as she let him in. He was wearing a nice dark blue suit with a white dress shirt, complimented by a blue tie. Kelly met him in the hallway and walked over slowly. Her heels were really high and she was having a tough time walking in them. Harry laughed at her as she had a hard time walking over to him. “You look beautiful Kels” He told her and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
