[Completed] Clay, Lance, and Macy - Two Knights and A Princess

Chapter 8

Jestro and the rest of the Nexo Knights immediately ran back to the rolling fortrex after informing the King and Queen about an urgent emergency. Lance and Macy were the fastest among the rest. They have to convince Clay that they were honestly telling the truth.

"We'll wait for the two of you at the main hall," Jestro called Lance and the Princess. "You go do your thing."

"Okay. Thanks, Jestro." Macy thanked him as she and Lance dashed into the fortrex after the drawbridge was lowered down.

Lance suggests that Macy will try to talk to him before he did, as he is the one who Clay is really mad about. Macy agreed with him.

Eventually, they arrived in front of Clay's room. The door is locked. Macy tried to call him while Lance decided to not speak first.

"Clay! Are you in there?" Macy called him. "Speak to me, Clay!"

"Don't bother me, Macy," Clay replied. "Just leave me alone. I wanna calm down for a while."

"Clay, about what happened just now, I'm really, really sorry about that," Macy apologised. "I don't mean to hurt your feelings. I just thought that maybe Merlok could help me think of a way to tell the both of you..."

"FOR THE LAST TIME, LEAVE ME ALONE, MACY!" Clay shouted as a magical blast coming from his right hand blasted the door open. Clay was speechless for a second.

"I'll fix that later..." Clay said. "But still, I don't wanna see anyone else standing right in front of me. Or else, I'll blast you outta my sight!"

"Clay! This isn't you!" Macy said. "You had anger issues when you were still the Gray Knight, but...now... Clay, we HAVE to talk."

Clay didn't speak. Macy knew that he finally decided to listen to what she wanted to say.

"Clay, I am very sorry about that incident just now. Trust me, I only knew about the planned wedding recently. And...so does Lance." Macy said.

Clay is obviously a little angry when he heard Lance's name. But he is trying to keep his anger inside.

Lance, who was standing right next to Macy, noticed about it. He lowered his head, feeling ashamed.

"Lance have been wanting to reveal about his feelings towards Macy to you all along, Clay." Merlok, who was right behind Macy (and also in Robin's mini-trex), tried to talk to Clay as well. "Lance told me about this yesterday. And I guarantee that he's sincere about this. He knew that he might hurt your feelings, so he decided not to tell you about it, as he recently found out about your crush on Macy too."

Clay frowned a little. Lance wouldn't dare to look at his team leader in the eye.

"Oh! About the royal wedding," Merlok continued. "Cuthbert Richmond, Lance's father sneaked into the castle and found his son. He called Lance to follow him into a room and told him about the wedding. Lance was not even a bit happy, as he knew how would you feel about this. Lance wanted to tell you about his after he came out of the room, but you were already there. Lance knew that it was too late for him. Until now, he still hopes to seek your forgiveness. He really didn't mean to upset you, my child. Please forgive him."

"Yeah, Clay." Macy agreed with Merlok. "Please, do forgive him..."

"Please, Clay..." Lance mumbled quietly to himself. "We were very good friends..."

Clay remained silent. But then, he finally spoke:

"I'll think about it."

Merlok and Macy smiled as Lance shed a happy tear, as a sign of thanks.

Macy and Lance immediately told the others about the great news. Everybody was very excited.

Umm... Except for Merlok.

"Why do I STILL sound like a baby chipmunk, Ava dear?"
