Wake, world! Thought it be dead night
'Tis not a night to sleep tight.
Why rest when there's adventures to be had?
How might ye rest when there's fun ahead?
Let's take the town, let's knock 'em dead.
Tonight's not for sleeping, but exploring instead.
We could hike lonely mountains
Or walk silent streets
We can meander through our sleeping land
Gloriously reveling in this, the unplanned.
Leap from your beds, all that can see.
Be brave! Be brave! Come valiantly with me.
I promise amazing things to do.
Anyone can come, yes, you!
We may be a small band, the nocturnal we.
But we shall grow larger, beyond just you and me!
Until it's clear all kind is free
To peruse the night and follow after we.
The runs we'll have and the secret's we'll keep
Safe between us, while the world sleeps.
We'll gambol and play 'til we see light of day
It always scares black shadows away.
We'll retreat to our homes and camouflage
With the people conducting their day jobs
Busy and stable.
They know not of the glorious we,
And that, valiant, is how it must be.
