You consume my thoughts
You, my favorite daydream
I lie awake every night
For once not so lonesome as I seem.
Your laugh, your smile
The sparkle in your eyes
I dwell on them awhile
Lost in you
Darkness, I lie
Your name on my breath
Your enigma my mystery.
I freely imagine
The future of we
Our children
Us parents
A home and life
Untainted by brevity.
The tunes I hum,
The words I write,
