Miley's POV

When Liam, the kids, and I all got to the beach we found where Emma and August were with Landin and Elaina. I got the big blanket out for us to sit on, and put the bags next to it. The twins were sitting in front of me while I got the sunscreen out to put it on them. Liam helped take Jessy's clothes off that were over her swimsuit, and put them next to her bag. Liam then grabbed Jessy's water shoes and put them on her instead of her regular shoes.

"Daddy daddy can I swim now?" Jessica asks Liam excitedly.

"Not yet, Jessy. You still need sunscreen before you go out there." Liam says, then grabs our sunscreen and puts some on himself. After I was done putting sunscreen on the babies, I handed Liam the kids' sunscreen and he handed me ours.

"Really good idea to pick under this tree, you guys." I say, pointing to the tree we were sitting under. It was a nice big tree that gave us plenty of shade so the babies didn't have to be in the sun all day.

"Yeah, and there's no one near it so we have plenty of room." Emma says. "Here Landin, let's put your water wings on."

After I had put sunscreen on the babies and Jessica, I took Jessica's water wings and handed them to Liam so he could blow them up.

"Come here Jessy, you gotta have these on before you go in the water." I say as Liam hands the water wings to me.

"I don't wanna mommy. I wanna be a big girl."

"You are a big girl, but you just aren't old enough to swim without your water wings yet." Then I point to Emma putting Landin's on him. "See, Landin is wearing them too. You can't go in unless you have them on. Don't you wanna swim?"

"Yes." Jessica answers. "Okay mommy." Then she walks closer and lets me put her water wings on her.

"Thank you. Now you can go as long as you don't go out too far." Then Jessica goes with Landin and August to the water.

Liam picked up Leonardo and I picked up Cecilia, then went into the water with Emma and Elaina. We walked to where we were about to our stomachs, we held the babies in the water and watched their reactions. The babies seemed to love the water, and they laughed when waves hit.

"The babies look like they're having a blast." I say.

"Yeah, look at Landin and Jessy. They look like they're having a great time too." Emma says, then I look at Jessy playing with Landin and August.

"August is a great dad, Emma."

"Babe, you're a great dad too." I say to Liam, which makes him smile. "Here comes a wave, Cece." When the wave came close, we picked the babies up higher so they didn't get splashed in the face. The babies laughed and splashed in the water, it was fun to watch.

After the babies got tired of the water, we got out and put them down on the blanket. Emma fed Elaina while Liam and I fed the twins. August was still in the water with Jessica and Landin. Soon later they became hungry, so we gave them a snack as well. After the babies ate, they all took a nap. It gave Liam and me time to play with Jessica, and Emma and August could play with Landin. Liam and I stayed close to the babies while Emma, August, and Landin went closer to the water. After a while, we switched places so Liam, Jessica, and I could go closer to the water. I was so happy to spend my 4th of July this way, I'll definitely remember it forever. When Jessica got tired, we all sat on the blanket together.

"It should be getting close for fireworks, shouldn't it?" I ask Liam. He looks at his phone and nods.

"Yeah, it's almost 9:00. They should be starting anytime now." Liam answers. "If the twins don't like the noise, do you want me to take them where it's more quiet so you and Jessy can watch?"

"I don't know yet. We'll figure it out if it happens." I reply. "Jessy, the fireworks are gonna start soon."

"Yay!" Jessica says excitedly, clapping her hands.

When the twins woke up, Liam and I each had one on our lap while we sat next to each other. Emma had Elaina on her lap while August sat next to her. Landin and Jessica sat next to each other to watch also. After the first firework went off, Jessica jumped at first, but then she looked amazed. While the fireworks went off, Liam and I kept an eye on the twins. They didn't seem to mind much. Elaina started to cry, so August decided he'd take her for a walk so Emma could watch the fireworks.

"Hey, Emma?" I hear Liam ask.

"Hmm?"

"Could you keep an eye on the twins so I can talk to Miley for a minute? If it's not too much to ask?"

"Of course, Liam." Liam then handed Leonardo to Emma, then took Cecilia out of my arms and handed her to Emma as well. Liam stood up and helped me up. He held my hand and we walked away from everyone.

"Liam, where are we going?" I ask.

"Shh." He whispers, then we walked off to a part of the beach where no one else was. It was just Liam and me stading in the sand.

"Liam, what's this about?"

"I needed to talk to you about something."

"Is everything okay?"

"I figured now would be a great time. Everyone is focusing on the fireworks, so it's just you and me. I wanted to talk to you after our date night, but it got inturrupted. Which is okay, cause I realized last night that it wouldn't have been what I wanted if there had been tons of people around us." Liam explains.

"Would you please tell me what this is all about? You're really confusing me."

"They say love can drive you crazy, my dear. You and I have been through hell and back together. You and I have had so many ups and downs, it's been like a roller coaster. There hasn't been one single day go by that I haven't thought of you. You're my first thought in the morning and my last thought at night. I've dreamt about how I wanted to do this in so many ways, but I couldn't ever find the right words. No matter what happens, I promise I will always love you. It was hard being together before, but I realized being apart was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my entire life. I can't picture my life without you, Miley. You gave me three beautiful and amazing children, and I can't thank you enough. There are many things in this world that could make me happy, but I'll never be truly happy unless we're together. I hate speeches, but this is a special speech, there won't ever be any other speech I'll like better. As each day goes by I love you even more than the day before. When we're together I feel like life couldn't get any better. And I'm gonna stop talking because I'm getting impatient to hear your answer. Miley Ray Cyrus, will you make me even happier than I am right now, and marry me?"

"Liam..."
