Memories of past become wind
Caressing my cheek as soft as your hand
I loose whatever hold I had on present
Getting lost in flashbacks.

Events unfolding inside my eyes
Not necessarily sweet, some are sour and bitter
Yet I can't seem to do anything but remember
In the snow fall I hear your laughter.

How your eyes would shine
While unwrapping Christmas gifts
Your laugh like tinkling windchime
And your voice like sweet carols.

I feel the rain drenching me to the bone
And taste the saltiness of your tears
As I kissed them away one summer
On the park swing we talked for hours.

Going through photo albums
I trace lines of your face
Contours of my heart are itched
With the moments we shared.

I won't even try to forget you
I understand it's not possible
You have become a part of me
Ingrained in my existence.
