So what if you broke another dish
What if I burned the turkey
At least the wine was good
And we danced till 12.30
We stayed up talking way too late
And woke up on the sofa
Your head resting on my shoulder
It's been a pleasure so far
Even if it was unusual
It's been the best date of my life
And I would love a few more
If you think it was alright.
We could sit on the park bench
Watching butterflies and dewdrops
We could sit reading books
And exchange few paragraphs
You can sing love songs
I will play the guitar
We will create something new
We will make a new start.
