#22 Regrets

Arms of a loved one enveloping you
Didn't realize they were gone
Until the warmth faded away.
Chill sweeps into your bones
Keep forgetting that you are alone
Now that someone is far away.

It is no use crying in the dark
The years won't warm your blood
You have lost something so special.
What you had taken for granted
That person was always there
Seems like dream, what was so real.

Regrets in your heart, guilt in your mind
Hoping for a second chance
To make this all right again.
Repentance is the only key
To open that closed door
Then you can ask to be held again.

Those arms once held all your sorrows
Hearts must be big enough too
To forget all your mistakes.
If words are true, actions will reflect the same
With sincere heart ask for forgiveness
You can hope for the best.
