I walked into my first class of the day with my crutches under my arms. They made a annoying click eveytime I moved them and I was honestly already irritated by the noise and I don't think I could cope with it for another few weeks.
The class was already seated and I made my way to the front of the class, hearing the chatter of the students die down as they heard me make my entrance, something that doesn't normally happen. They all stopped talking and looked at me, I knew they would've heard about my injury but now there were here they were curious to know what happened and how.
I cleared my throat and rested my body on my desk in front of the class, resting the crutches to my side. "Morning all, how was your weekend?" I greeted them all, in which majority replied with 'good'. I nodded and then returned to speaking. "As you can see my weekend was eventful" the class laughed my small joke. "I assume you're curious as to what happened" I stated rather than asked. The whole class nodded and turned their full attention to me.
"Well" I sighed. "I was having a game of footy with Miss Jacobs and, as much as I don't want to admit this, she tackled and tripped me" a few snickers went around the room as they heard the story. "Okay okay" I put my hands up in surrender. "Now, since I don't really feel up to going outside we're staying in and doing some theory. You all have assignments to complete so head to the computers and get started" they all groaned but did as I said.
I watched the students chatting quietly to one another and headed to the computers at the back of the classroom. They actually didn't react as bad as I thought they would. But still I knew that they were thinking that I was now useless as a P.E teacher. I sighed to myself as I grabbed my crutches again and went behind my desk to take a seat and 'rest' my ankle.
Not too much later into the lesson the door opened and Jade walked in, caturing the eyes of the rest of the class for a moment before they went back to doing their work. I did hear a few people whispering about her presence since they knew did injure me.
"Hello Mr Tomlinson" she said professional and stood next to my desk. "How's the ankle?"
"It's alright" I shrugged. "What brings you here?" I asked her curiously, glancing over to the class in the back of the room.
"Came to see how you are. I'm sorry you know that right?" she asked again and sat herself on my desk. I nodded.
"Yes, you haven't let me forget yet" I smirked and crossed my arms over my chest. "Don't you have a class?" I questioned her.
"No. Not til next lesson" she turned her attention to the back of the room to where a few students were snickering. "I see you told them" she chuckled and I shrugged.
"It's not like word wouldn't get out anyway"
"True. Well, I should get back to marking, I'll see you later" she patted my shoulder than jumped off the desk and walked off out of the classroom.
A bunch of 'oooh's' followed her absence and I turned to face them. It wasn't the type that was when you lost, it was the type if you're caught out dating. I told them to get back to work and not to pay attention to what I was doing but first years are always a nosey bunch, I just couldn't wait to get back home.

When I got home, after Niall picked me up, from his job as a barista at the cafe down the road, since I can't drive he offered to drive me to and from work, since his hours are similar to mine, we walked in and got greeted by Liam, who doesn't work on Mondays. Him and Niall gave each other a quick kiss before Liam pulled Niall into his side while I hung up my coat.
"Your mum called Lou. I don't know why, she just told me it was important and to call her back as soon as you could" as soon as Liam finished his message I couldn't help but worry. I was panicking, I thought it could be something with my mum, though I know that things are always pretty good with her so I didn't know what to think.
