Pineapple Breeze

Praline

                        "Alexa! It's to cold! Come back!" Kai shouted playfully at me. 

         The snow crunched under my winter boots as I raced away from him, the cold breeze harshly kissed my skin turning it's peachy tone to a red. Our breath was visible to all who were able to watch us dart from one another. As I ran from him I quickly shoveled some of the cold icy snow within my hands. My hands tingled even through the thick gloves as I rolled it into an almost perfect oval that would carry out my attack. I'm sure this will make up for him teasing me about my horror movie binge idea!  I quickly turn releasing my cold snowy wrath at him, I watch as it smacks him dead in the face. He quickly falls to the ground as he impacts he makes a painful groan, my feet move out from me instantly. I was beside him in the blink of an eye as my hands work to roll him over, my chest had felt tight for hurting him.

   "Are you okay? Did I hurt you?" I ask worriedly. 

   "Alexa you're so gullible you know that?" He notes and he rolls over pinning me in the snow. 

   My heart throbbed nervously in my chest as he was now on top of me with a prideful grin painted on his lips. I could feel his warmth generating off his body which was way more appealing to me than the prickling cold the snow was embracing me with. Our eyes meet each other almost instantly, and I could see myself reflected from his emerald greens. His blonde hair was messy due to the fights, which was much more appealing than his normal slick back appearance. I felt my cheeks start to feel like they were burning, I had never really been this close to Kai before. Even though we knew each other our whole lives, this was the first time I was taken in by him. By his tanned skin in the dead of winter, those lips, and his sexy grin they all seemed so much more to me now. My heart pounded with a different kind of feeling, and without thinking my cold fingertips brushed against his cheeks. I could even feel the warmth radiate from them, and I yearned for more.  

  "Alexa, are you okay?" Kai asked me, breaking me out of my trance. 

  "Ye-yeah, I am," I managed to choke embarrassed. 

  His eyes looked me over once more before he got off of me offering me his hand to help me up, I took it without a second thought. My mind was swirling with a desire to be closer to his lips and his body once more like it just had. The snow was no longer cold to me anymore because my body was becoming a personal heater. Why is it now of all times I'm feeling so hot?  I can't help but slip glimpses of him which only make the heat from my lower body worse. He had broad shoulders which showed even through the thick winter coat. I wanted to be embraced by this man. I bet he looks even better without all these clothes on, and his stamina is probably wonderful. I bit my lip trying to hold back from carrying this on any longer than I should. Get a grip Alexa! You two basically grew up together and did everything together... Expect each other... 

   "Get a grip!" I accidentally utter out loud, this catches Kai's attention quickly. 

    "What do you mean 'get a grip'? Is everything alright?" He asked stopping us from moving forward towards the warmth of his apartment. 

   "It's nothing really I was just thinking about something is all," I said while avoiding eye contact with him. 

   I feel his fingers touch my chin which caused an almost electric surge to spark through my body as he pulled my chin up to look at him. Our eyes met as an almost humorous smirk forms upon his lips. I was close enough again to feel the warmth of his body spread through me, and to smell the cologne he must've put on earlier.  I could see reflected in his eyes was something devious as if he could see right through me. His fingers moved from my chin to begin tracing my lips with the same desire I had. The air around me swirled getting heavier the more his touches progressed on. His fingers stopped tracing my lips to move up to rub his thumb across my rosy cheeks, his thumb was icy cold but that didn't affect the warmth he spread to me. He leaned in closer to where his hot breath was near my ear causing hot chills to run through my spine.
