I found her lounging in the garden with a bowl of sugar puffs in her clothes from last night bopping along to her Ipod...

'So are you gonna tell me where you were last night? And who you were with?'

'I was on a date at the pub'

I slouched next to her on the bench, I held out my hands and she handed me the bowl of sugar puffs. Because I'm too lazy to get my own...

'So' - between mouthfuls of cereal - 'who’s the lucky guy?'

'Well, can you remember a guy called Michael?'

I literally spat/scoffed out some of my sugar puffs 'you mean Dominic's mate, that you swore down that you hated with a passion?'

'The same... Well it turns out he is a real hotty and we spent most of last night together...'

'You didn't... ermmmm... sleep with him last night did you?'

She snatched the bowl outta my hands and smiled at me, 'No you dummy! I slept with you, you saucy minx, how can you not remember?'

'Oh yeh ok then, I do its just you were late and i was worried...'

'N'awww bless you sweety... He took me to this place called Brimham stones or something...'

'Rocks you mean?'

'Yeh how did you know that?'

'That’s were me and Dominic went for our first date'

'Oh...'

I don't know why but that was a bit weird... uhmmm... But we both got ready for college and walked out of the house to see Dominic standing at the end of the drive looking a bit sheepish. Why hadn't he come to the door like usual? I stood up on my tip toes to give him a kiss on the lips but he moved his head away so i got his cheek... Odd.

It got even stranger as we walked to college, he didn't say anything to me, not a word.

'Hey Dom, are you alright? You seem pretty quiet?'

'Yeh, I just need to talk to you.'

'Ermm... Yeh sure, what about?'

'I just need to speak to you in private' He glared at Han, so she walked on a few paces in front of us. Why was he acting well...? Weird. We had just reached the school gates, Han had left us and gone into college, Dom turned and walked to our tree and then stopped. I, in suit, followed.

He just looked at me then blurted out,

'I can't do this anymore'

Shock horror! What the actual fuck?!

'What do you mean? Can't do what?'

'This' - he waved his hands indicating us - 'it’s just too much and especially when your ex is here, he has told me so much about you and i just can't do this anymore... It’s over Elise'

And with that he went, it just seemed like ripping a plaster of for him, dumping me, I can't believe it. It’s happening all over again. My bag dropped to the ground, legs gave way and I collapsed on the floor, shaking. Why me? My face fell into the palms of my hands I sat weeping into my hands.

I had noticed that someone moved past me but it was only when I was pulled into a strong hug that I knew This person had stopped to comfort me, a sobbing mess. I didn't know who it was but i could smell his aftershave and feel his strong arms reassuring me. I didn't speak; I just sat silently in the arms or a stranger.

There was a rush of feet and then one of the arms lifted and I hear him tell them 'shush' but it wasn't a snap it was calm and good natured. Bags began to drop and bums began to land around us and hands began to pat my legs, my back and arm in reassurance but I didn't move.
