As I woke up I face an unfamiliar white ceiling. The steady beep of a machine to my left, the tugging of the needle link to a drip in my right arm, the stench of bleach. I laid still, just thinking to myself how the hell did I get here?

As I turned my head I managed to look out of the window on my right. The sun was shining but snow lay on the ground. I thought it was summer or that’s what I remember.

As I craned my head the left I found that the room was empty except a boy, asleep in the chair next to my bed. He had dirty blonde hair and a strong sculpted jaw line. I know himI thought but I can't remember.

I wiggled, trying to move myself to sit up on the bed, but my muscles ached and pain surged through my body causing me to wince at the sharp pains. This causes the boy to wake up. His eyes meet mine, they are so enchanting. Deep blue, like being lost at sea.

He lazily up righted himself and sleepily said 'Hey, you ok?' His voice was husky and deep, incredibly manly.

'Yeh I guess, how about you?'

'Just tired'

'Can I ask you something?'

'Anything'

'Who are you?'

'Oh...' There was an awkward pause. I can't remember who he is.... 'Don't you remember?'

I shook my head, let’s be honest, as handsome as he is, waking up in a strange room with wires attached to you, with a random hotty sat next to you as you lay in a bed wearing nothing but a paper dress. The question has gotta be asked.

'Well... Do you remember how you got here?'

I shook my head again

'What do you remember?'

'Moving up to a place called Yorkshire... It seemed like a dream, one minute I was walking to the loo in the pub and next minute I was on the floor and everything had gone black'

HIs reply was a simple 'Oh'. And we returned to sit in silence as he stared at his feet and I looked out of the window.

'How long have I been here?'

'You have been out for a week'

'How did I get here?'

He began to explain about my life in Yorkshire and from the story I can tell that it was... Well, eventful. From boyfriends to friends, bitches and paint, booze and Usain Bolt. I'm pretty jealous of the Elise from the story. It seemed pretty unreal but like it would have been a laugh... But one question that still hasn't been cleared up was who is this guy?!

'So where do you come into all this?'

'I was on a date with you, the night that you, well, bumped your head... My name is Liam Hayes and we slow danced in my back garden under the stars. And then I and your ex-boyfriend, Dom, got into a fight and you were knocked over and got concussion. You have been asleep for a week'

This time it was my turn to reply with a simple 'Oh'. He stayed with me until I fell back to sleep, his hand stoked my hair out of my face, resting on my cheeking for seconds before resting on my hand.

I'm woken up by Liam gently calling my name telling me that my dinner has arrived. Apparently the doctors want to see if I can stomach food then they'll take me off the drip. Turns out that that rhyme that people sing about burping

'Pardon me it was not me, it was my food, it just popped up to say hello, and now it’s gone back down below'

Well my food took it literally and said hello to my bed sheets because it decided it didn't want to go back down. So they kept me on a drip.

Faces came and went. Faces I remembered but couldn't match them with a name. Being reintroduced to people and hearing stories. There are people I do remember, but no matter what i remember about them, I don't hold grudges.

This is a clean slate.

And if they piss me off now they must be a nob head... Like Arny. No one had told him when my last memory was he had assumed that I couldn’t remember him being such an ass before I moved and so when he came to visit it didn't end well... For him.

Then one day I woke up with no one there, just a black box, wrapped in white ribbon topped with a bow on top. Since I've been here I've only ever gotten chocolates and sweets, giving me an expensive bikini body for summer, but no flowers because apparently they can make people go a bit funny. So the black box then, I pulled at the bow, removed the lid to find a small white envelope with my name on it. Inside it said,

'On loan,

Liam x'

Underneath the note was a black ipod classic, as I put the head phones in my ears I began to scroll through the playlist until I stumbled across one named 'For Elise'. It was full of bands like White stripes, The Vaccines, The Zutons and other bands some that I had never heard of but still found myself singing along to the lyrics for days, only stopping for visitors and food.

Until after about a week with the Ipod I was released from hospital and allowed to go home. Which was weird, last time I remember being here, there were boxes everywhere and Han was defiantly not living with us. But it had that homely feel to it, like I had never left.

The walls of my room were cream and the curtains were white, clothes lay thrown across the room and the bed was un-made... Defiantly my room.

'Hey chica, how you feeling?'

I turned to see Han and a BFG called Kate in my doorway. Apparently me and Kate had meet on a school camping trip when we were thrown together because she had a tent and I didn't and we were friends from then.

I can see why, she is my kinda of werid, which is pretty awesome.

'I'm fine, how are you two?'

'Yeh man we're good, there's some hotty downstairs who says you have his Ipod'

Liam, a smile spread across my face, he visited me a lot in hospital and he made me laugh and the Ipod kept my mind off things. I grabbed the Ipod and legged it down the stairs to see the man himself by my front door smiling at me... He was smiling at me so I smiled back.

'Hey, thanks for the Ipod'

'It’s my pleasure... Can we get lunch because I'm really hungry?'

'Yeh I'd like that'
