Chapter 27- Winterstar's Warning

*Y/n's P.O.V.*

On the way back to Thunderclan, I kept thinking to myself.

I chose the right thing. Yeah, I wish Garroth and I were in the same clan too, but... what about Aph? Aaron seemed really into her when we met, but Aph might still like him... SHOOT! I need to hunt or they'll think I did something wrong!

Once I had a good amount of prey, I headed back to the camp. There was a gate where the camp was with guards. One of them was Blaze.

"Y/n! Your back! What took you so long?" Blaze asks.

"Where I went to hunt, there wasn't much prey." I lie.

"Oh, well, Winterstar wanted to see you." Blaze says as he opens the gate.

"Thanks Blaze." I thank as I walk inside. Houses and... everything! It actually looked at a village. I sigh as I set the prey down and I headed to Winterstar's place. I knocked on the door and waited.

"Hello Y/n, please, come with me." Winterstar says when she opened the door. I smile at her as I walk inside.

We go upstairs and onto the balcony. She went to the edge and she stared at the sky.

"So much has happened over the past few years..." Winterstar muttered. I stay silent as she continues.

"I understand that your mad at me, I was harsh on you. It's just... when you never came back, I was confused... more like angry. I didn't get it. If you could, can you please tell me why you left?" Winterstar asks. I look away.

"Have you ever loved someone so much that you never wanted to leave their side?" I say. Winterstar sighs.

"Yes, I have. His name was Eric. I loved him. We were part of different clans though. I.... I'd never think he would like me back, but he did... I was... happy. But the Warrior Code says different. 'You can't love someone from a different clan'. Once my leader told me that... I was heartbroken." Winterstar mutters.

"Well... I have a crush on someone, but we could never be together. He's in a different clan. He broke my heart." I say.

"When was this?" She asked.

"At Five Nights at Freddy's. I don't remember which night it was... but he kissed someone else. Someone really close to me. In front of me! I was heartbroken as well. I yelled at them. I was hurt, and what was even worse is that I was partners with him. Once the last night came, when everyone was... 'dead', I left. I just, I couldn't stand it. It was too much." I exclaim.

For the rest of that day we stayed silent. Surprisingly, Winterstar didn't walk away. I decided to get her some prey for dinner. Winterstar was lost in her thoughts, so she didn't see me leave. I went down the stairs to find some prey left over in the fresh kill pile.

*Winterstar's P.O.V.*

I was in the forest, waiting for him. I heard his footsteps coming closer. Then he appeared a little ways away.

Eric.

"Winter!" Eric smiles as he runs to me. I run to him, but he went through me and disappeared. I froze. I heard voices.

"You can't trust her."

"You can't trust her."

All of a sudden Bluestar appeared. My old leader.

"Danger awaits at Midnight, and all will join together to fight." Bluestar's voice rung in my head.

"Winterstar? Winterstar?" I heard Y/n speaking to me. I shook my head and looked at her.

*Y/n's P.O.V.*

"Winterstar? Winterstar?" I tried getting her attention. She shook her head and looked at me.

"You ok? You were lost in thought or something." I say.

"S-Sorry." Winterstar muttered. I handed her a piece of fresh kill and I ate mine. When we finished, she dazes back off into space.

*Winterstar's P.O.V.*

Should I tell her?

I take her hand and I pull inside. Y/n looks at me worriedly.

"Winterstar? Are you ok?" She asks.

"I need to tell you something." I say. Y/n stays quiet.

"It was from Starclan. A voice said something, and it's bothering me. 'Danger awaits at Midnight, and all will join together and fight.' " I tell her. I was too scared to tell her who. Y/n nods, but I could tell that she was nervous.

"Go get some sleep, ok?" She then walks away.

*Y/n's P.O.V.*

As I lay in my bed, it rung in my head.

"Danger awaits at Midnight, and all will join together and fight."

It was dark out, and the moon was high in the sky. Then I heard something.

It was a howl.
