Yasuki opens his eyes to see a feild of grasses spread endlessly into the horizon, just a single cherry tree sitting in the middle of that plain land. Yasuki has never seen something this simple yet beautiful before. From under the tree's shades, he sees a little girl with burnt umber hair standing there as she beamed at his direction or perhaps at him. At a distance he would have thought of her as Monika, but her eyes weren't green; they were yellow.
"Um, h-hello?" He slowly took a few steps toward her just to have a better view of the little girl.
Strangely she didn't respond to him, rather she smiled at him and lacking the response. Yasuki crouched in front of her. Though the little girl's eyes isn't dull, it has the light's reflection just like any other human eyes. He smiled back at her cute smile.
"I guess I really am going crazy. First it was illusions and now it's delusions. I wonder what's next." Yasuki said to himself.
"You're not having illusions nor delusions." The little girl suddenly spoke to him.
"Then you're real?" He asked her.
She shook her head. "No, silly. I'm not just real or illusions. It's complicated for me to explain."
"I don't understand what you mean."
The girl holds both of his cheeks. "Eventually you will understand. Before then we'll talk again, come back whenever you attained everything. I'll be... waiting for you."
"Get off my bed, you creep!"
Yasuki wakes up to a very loud shout from Natsuki, she harshly pushed him out of bed making him wide awake. He promptly stands up.
"I'm sorry, but this is my bed."
Natsuki glanced around the bedroom, she gasp in embarrassment. "RAPIST!"
Yasuki scratches his head. "I did not rape you. Did you not remember? You moved in to my house yesterday, and then you want to sleep in my bed next to me."
"And you let me! So it's clearly obvious that you took advantage of me!" Natsuki exclaim.
Rubbing his eyes he would walk toward the door. "Look, we can talk about this later. First we have to get ready for school. I'll let you change to your school uniform. I'm gonna be in the bathroom."
That morning Natsuki and Yasuki walked to school together. She made sure to stay physically distant from him while they have their awkward walk. Yasuki immediately spot Monika as she was about to take a turn at the crossroad ahead of them. She sees him rush to Monika greeting her.
Natsuki's brows twist. Sitting at her usual seat in the club room she would look out the window spacing out. Her eyes would sometimes randomly gaze at Yasuki's direction, and whenever he gazes back she would pout at the window. Yuri whom isn't usually scrutinizing the club members somewhat noticed something that is presumably obvious about Natsuki's reaction every time she made eye contact with him.
Since the festival is over Monika no longer assign the club members to write poems. However, she still encourages everyone to at least bring their poems to the Literature Club, to share it with everyone once a week. For Yasuki it was a sign of relief, knowing that her unaccomplished goals are slipping away from her grasp.
The days gone by and Monika hasn't done much with the game's script. Soon weeks gone by and she still hasn't done much. Then months gone by and now she just simply stop looking at the game files and script. That result to Sayori and the protagonist finally going out with each other. Yuri respected the choice that he made, so she proceeds to be alone. Natsuki on the other hand still acts sour to everyone else around her. And as for Monika she's...
Yasuki takes a deep breath. It was time to end all of their misery, including Monika's. He waited for everybody to leave and head home. Natsuki was a bit stubborn, but he managed to convinced her to go without him thus giving her his house key. Monika just sat there on top of a desk peering out the window. Yasuki approaches her standing by at the same window looking at the beautiful sun set.
"How are you feeling so far, Monika?"
She press her hand onto her chest. "I don't actually understand this feeling that I have. Is it a heart ache? Or is it just confusion?"
"Maybe it's both. Confused because of that heart aching." Yasuki grabs Monika's hand and place it on his chest. "Do you feel it? It beats this fast just because of you. I may not be the reason to your heartache, but I have experienced this for a very very long time now."
Monika blushed. "W-why do you love me so much?"
"Sometimes you need to feel it for yourself to be able to know." Yasuki put his hands on the desk leaning toward her. He softly whispers to her ear, "There are times when I don't even understand it myself. Before I came back to Japan I ask myself why I can't just move on from you when there are so many beautiful girls in America. I was slowly losing myself until I saw you again for the first time in a very long while. I really needed you and you only to complete me."
She could feel chills down her spine and goose bumps up her forearms. Yasuki gently placed his forehead against hers, there their gazes locks on one another. Monika slowly closes her eyes as he softly press his lips against hers. She respond back to him. Their soft kiss gradually becomes a rough kiss. Suddenly Monika breaks their deep breath-taking kiss peering back at his face.
Promptly she would avert her eyes realizing what she just did, "It was a mistake. I'm sorry."
Monika grabbed her school bag then she would rush out the club room leaving him there. Yasuki, who was completely flabbergasted by her sudden change of mind, couldn't understand what she was aiming for. He pulls out a chair and sat down, feeling completely lost.
