"Helloooo, Monika!!!" Sayori boldly approach their Club President.

"Ah, I'm sorry. I was spacing out." She avert her eyes trying to smile. "Did you need something?"

Sayori grin. "You've been acting really off lately. Are you sure you're doing okay? I'm sure Yuri and Natsuki is really worried as well! And even though my friend just joined the Literature Club, he does have a kind enough heart to care for you too."

Monika chuckled at herself. "Please, you guys don't have to be so worrisome. I'm completely okay." Then mumbles the rest, "Well, technically."

"Hm? What's that?"

"Ah, i-it's nothing!" Monika stands up from her seat. "I'll go and hang the posters we made around the school so people will see what our club is about. It'd help the festival a little... I guess."

"You guess?" Sayori blinked. "Monika, I've never heard you say that before. Are you sure you're alright?"

"Just give me a few days. Surely it'll help me get back on track. I do need to prepare for the festival." Monika beamed at Sayori, quickly leaving the room with the posters she find herself frown through the windows' reflection.

Reliving that same event, but without Yasuki to help undo her mistakes which gave her a odd sentiment. Without obstacles nothing is interesting at all, the more she look at the wide communication space opened for her the smaller her world becomes. Even with a whole world out there it couldn't fulfill her life as a being.

Monika halted at a random spot on the second floor. Just before she put the poster on the wall she realized that she forgot to bring tapes with her.

"Where are you Yasuki?" She sighed.

Distracted somebody suddenly bump into Monika. She dropped the posters, scattering it on the floor. Falling down she would grunt. The boy apologized, "I, I'm sorry!"

Monika knows that voice from anywhere, "Y-Yasuki?" Promptly she would glanced at the boy. Automatically tears would roll down her cheeks.

"Um. Why are you crying?" He looked oblivious to the reason why she shed tears.

Monika shook her head, wiping the tears away she would stand up and pick up the posters on the ground. Yasuki helped her pick them up too and handed the posters to her.

"Why aren't you in the Literature Club, Yasuki?" Monika wondered.

"Uh. What are you talking about? And how did you know my name?" He questioned.

"Because we're childhood friends, plus you came back from America to finish high school here!" Said Monika.

"You're not wrong about the second part, but I'm afraid I don't remember who you are. Although you do look familiar." Yasuki scratched his head.

"I, I see." Monika frown. "I must've mistaken you with someone else then. I'm sorry."

"H-Hey! Don't give me that look. You're probably not mistaken at all! There's a good chance that we are childhood friends. After all, I met a girl back in elementary. She was so nice and what I could never forget is that fact that her eyes are emerald green." He paused for a second. "Just like your eyes..."

His cheeks flustered. "M-Monika?"

Before she could respond to her he immediately hugged her. Monika's cheeks flustered too. His sudden embrace surprised and startled her. Knowing that he from that timeline hasn't met her for eight years made her feel closer to him. Slowly he would let go of her, yet they couldn't keep their eyes away from each other.

"I almost forgot how you look now. I mean, it's been so long since we've seen each other. You look more mature and... more women-like." Yasuki averts his eyes.

Monika did the same. "You should join the Literature Clu--"

"--Get away from him!" A voice echoed behind her.

"What's wrong, Monika?" Yasuki looked concerned.

Monika glanced behind her, nobody was there. "No, it's probably just my imagination." She chuckled at herself. "What was I about to say?"

"You were saying something about joining?"

"R-right." She sworn she heard a voice, like some kind of warning sign. "I, I have to go back to my club. They're probably waiting for me."

"Mind if I follow? I'm quite interested in the Literature Club." He smiled.

"I, I don't mind at all. Please, feel free to visit." Monika led him to the club room.

She would have to make an excuse about the posters to Sayori. After all Yasuki was a unexpected person to meet, especially during after school where a lot of the students have already gone home."

"Eh? A new visitor after a new member? This is quite unsettling." Natsuki crossed her arms. "What's next? Yuri bringing in another male to join the party leaving me to be the only female without any soulmate of sort?"

"That's not the situation here, Natsuki. At least respect and appreciate that fact that people are joining the club." Yuri gave her a bitter look.

"No need to fight you guys." Yasuki came up to Natsuki and pats her head. "You look like you don't belong in high school. Has your dad lost his mind and sent you straight to high school without letting you finish junior high?"

Yuri was about to burst out a laugh, but kept her mouth covered at all cost. Natsuki's eyes lit in flames. "You dick!" And she flops into her closet.

"Did I offend her?" Yasuki scratched his head.

"Uh-huh! You just poured the best oil into the fire!" Sayori claps. "I didn't know Monika would have such taste in a boy like you!"

"In a boy like me?" Yasuki repeated, his eyes darted to Monika. She averts her eyes avoiding any kind of obvious sign to show up. Then from the corner of his eyes he could see another boy in the club room. He looked a bit like Sayori's type of boy. "And I see he's your type?"

Sayori's hands immediately covers his mouth. "Please don't spill the honey!"

"The honey?" Yuri questioned.

"Or beans! Whatever you call it." Sayori's hair was already sticking out from the sides, but those questions Yuri and Yasuki asked made all her hair spiked out. Almost like frustration got to her mind.

Monika smiled at them as they have their fun conversation. Looking out the window once again she realized that that Yasuki isn't the one that she had fallen in love with. Like there was another Yasuki who still holds her heart. She frown.
