"I'm home!" Natsuki took off her shoes before stepping into the living room.

"You came home at such late hours." Yasuki lifted his head off the table, still keeping his forearms resting against it. "Come sit here. I didn't want you to overwork yourself so I decided to buy both of us some dinner."

"Thanks, I guess am a bit too exhausted to cook dinner. I was baking all morning today." Natsuki pulls a chair and sits down from across him.

Yasuki stands up and grabs plates and spoons, he placed a plate in front of Natsuki and one in front of him. Then he goes back to the kitchen to get the heated food in the microwave and placed it in the center of the table. Her eyes sparkled as she didn't hesitate to scoop some food to her plate.

"Man, I should've brought home some cupcakes! I actually wanted to give you some since you went through the trouble of buying my favorite meals." Natsuki began eating the food like a hungry child would, like a father he gave her more food.

"Eat up while you can, you never know what might happens in the future." He smiled at her stuffed face.

After Natsuki feels full she leans on the chair and sucked water through her pink plastic straw. Yasuki just sit there staring at the food in front of him, his eyes didn't even blink. Worried she lowers her head as she tries to get a better view of his face.

"Are you alright?"

"I, I am." Yasuki suddenly blinks, smiling at her he put another spoon full in his mouth.

She couldn't be sure if he is, especially by the way that he acts since the day Monika came to visit them. The look in his eyes looked distant from everything. Natsuki takes a deep breath, then she smacked the table harshly with her bare hands.

"Let's have a talk!"

Yasuki was startled by her aggressiveness, pressured he placed the spoon down and stare directly at her, giving her his full attention.

"What do you want to discuss?"

She could tell that he is forcing a smile. "It seems that you and Monika have a problem. Ever since she came back you've been acting like you're not yourself."

"Natsuki..." His eyes averted from hers. "She hates me..."

"Does she hate you? Or are you the one that hates her?" Natsuki's fingers clenched.

"Look, I don't see what the problem is. Regardless if I hate her or not you clearly know she doesn't see me the way that I see her." The tone of Yasuki's voice sounded like he's irritated.

"Fine, then have you ever considered her feelings? At least..." Natsuki finds it difficult to handle her own feelings, all he does is think about Monika. She couldn't find the courage to confess how much she loves him, she felt helpless.

"I have considered Monika's feelings. In fact, I've endured the pain for her, a burden she has put on my shoulder since the day she left for Tokyo." Yasuki stands up, picking up the plates he brings them to the kitchen sink. "Let's not talk about that anymore, I don't even want to think about it."

Natsuki couldn't hold it in anymore, she wouldn't be at ease if her words aren't heard thoroughly. "I want to tell you something extremely important, Yasuki."

Hearing that he stops at the counter staring back at her strangely cute pink eyes.

"The way you saved me from my abusive father, I couldn't thank you more. You've spared my father's innocence, you're a very kind friend to me." Natsuki could feel her heart racing as she proceeds to speak. "The more I think about it the more I want to appreciate you. If possible I want to give you my confession in return."

"Confession?" Yasuki scratches his head. "You don't have to do anything more, you're actually free to go and do anything as you please. I'm not your guardian, just a random boy you met on the street. We just happened to be friends."

"But," Natsuki paused, she hesitated afraid he might not accept her words. "But I love you, Yasuki. I know that it's a fate we met each other on the streets, I know it's the fate that we happened to live in the same house."

His heart somehow skipped after hearing her confessed to him. Yasuki felt so speechless that he couldn't collect his own thoughts in the process. Although her words did gave him some warmth. He walks up to her and hugged her.

"Natsuki... Natsuki, I..." At the same time, his heartaches, knowing that he just can't take advantage of the situation yet he didn't want to take the pain anymore. "I'm so happy that you say that because I love you too!"

Natsuki embraced him with her arms, doing the same back to him. The happiness that Yasuki wanted is within his grasp, the words he asked for are racing through his beating heart and the person that he loves is now replaced.

"We're going to rewrite everything together." Yasuki smiled.

Natsuki gently holds his cheeks as they stop embracing. He sees her cheeks flustered and red. Just when both of them almost dive in for a kiss someone suddenly knocks on the door. Yasuki went to it and looked through the peephole. There Monika stood, enduring the cold night. He opens the door for her.

"What are you doing here at this late hour?" He asked.

Without a word she quickly embraced him. "I'm so sorry! I was wrong for running away from you this morning! Please forgive me, Yasuki!"

His heart still aches. "There's no need for you to apologize. I am not mad at you."

"Really?" Her fragile eyes gazed upon his gentle gaze.

"Yes, really." He grabs her shoulders and breaks her embrace. "Now, you can go home."

Monika shook her head as a response. "I'm not going anywhere tonight. I'm going to stay in your house until tomorrow!" She grabs his hand and drags both of them into the living room. Gazing around the place she noticed Natsuki averting her eyes from them. "Where's Maki?"

"She's asleep upstairs." Said Natsuki, she turns away and walked up the stairs. "I'll leave you two be."

Monika noticed the sad look in her eyes. "Did you two have a fight?"

He evaded the question. "I'll ask you again. Why are you here?"

She sat down on one of the couches. "I had a talk with the other Yasuki. He told me you were a bit troubled so I came here as fast as I could."

"He lied, I wasn't troubled." Yasuki didn't even gaze back at her. "I could walk you home."

Monika grabs his arm and pulls him down. He reluctantly sat down right next to her. "That doesn't matter anymore." She hugged his arm tightly as she rests her head on his shoulder. "What's more important right now is that you're here, with me. That's the only thing that matters. And I just might be able to not only change your script back to normal but merge you with your other self as well."

"That's adsorbed!" Just when he was about to move she grip onto his arm tighter. "Monika, you're not going to do that alone, are you?"

"It really depends if you want to cooperate or not." Monika closed her eyes.

"I... I'll try it." He noticed her gradually falling asleep. "Hey, don't sleep yet--" Then he remembered, Monika, didn't have much sleep since every time she falls asleep she would have lucid nightmares. He holds her hand.

I just can't get enough, can I? He smiled.

Thus they fall asleep under the full moon.
