Chapter Fourteen

"Natsuki!" Monika ran after her. Within moments she catches up to her and grabbed her arm. "What's wrong with you? Why did you run off like that?"

The endless tears rolling down her cheeks. Averting her eyes from Monika she would respond, "He's lying is he?"

"Lying about what?"

Natsuki gazed at her with tears still flowing in her eyes. "Yasuki said that he made Parfait Girls."

"I, I don't actually know." Monika looked at a random direction. Then suddenly her head ache as if somebody smacked her harshly. Slowly she would remember the things that Yasuki told her when they were still little kids. Even though that was long ago she somehow remembered it like it was just yesterday. "Strange."

"You alright, Monika?" Natsuki's brows twist, worrying about her friend. "You were spacing out a second there."

She quickly turns back. "We can talk about the truth later. First we have to go back to Maki and Yasuki."

She ran back, Natsuki quickly follow her back. They quicken their pace. When they got back to the house and to the room they were left in Monika immediately sense the game script changing dramatically. In Yasuki's bedroom she sees Maki's body glitching.

"What happened?"

Yasuki instantly knock Natsuki out with his bare hand when she asked. He grabs the pocket knife from the ground where he dropped and points it toward Monika. Fearlessly Maki walked toward him. Yasuki nervously step backward.

"All I have to do is make Natsuki bare a child with me, then you won't exist!" He grin. "It's just that simple!"

"But I won't let that happen." Maki grab Monika's hand. "You have administrator privilege, Monika. You can stop him, bring back Yasuki!"

"B-but I don't know how to."

Maki's body glitches even more. "Go to his character file and change the code! I know you can do it!"

"No you don't!" He runs toward Monika with the sharp end pointing at her.

She immediately closed her eyes. Without a second later blood gush into the air. Slowly she would open her eyes again to see something or perhaps someone blocking her from his attack. A black inhuman figure standing just inches away from her. However, blood still comes out of it.

"So you did came. I guess I don't need to find you anymore." Yasuki starts to twist and toggle the knife on the figure. Blood just constantly leaking out of that thing.

Maki began to cry. She runs up to Yasuki and bang her weak hands on him. "Stop that! You're hurting my friend!"

Monika watch Maki's unstable body slowly fading away one piece at a time. Her eyes closely scrutinize the black figure. It gradually revealed its real form. Tears automatically rolls down her cheeks, she had to do something to help. So Monika went to the character files, there she quickly changes Yasuki's script from aggressive to docile. Before she could save the changes that she have made something suddenly pop up. Text that seem to be gibberish appeared right on the screen with two option for her to pick: Yes and No. Monika just picked Yes and proceed the game. Then she went up to them and break them apart.

Yasuki dropped the bloody knife that he held, looking at his own bloody hands. A black aura suddenly revolved around him from thin air. "What have you done to my progress?"

"I've only changed Yasuki back to his original self." Said Monika. "And it does seem that you aren't Yasuki."

He laughed. "You are wrong. I am Yasuki--he and I were once one." His body deteriorates back to that black inhuman figure. "One day you will understand!" Then he becomes transparent as he also disappears into thin air.

Monika turns to Yasuki, blood leaked from his wounded chest. She quickly pulls the sheet from the bed and tries to cover where the blood is coming from. Tears dripping from her chin to his face. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have let you suffer for four years. You didn't deserve this kind of torment."

"Don't cry." It was Yasuki's gentle voice.

Monika couldn't stop her tears, so she continued to do so anyways. He smiled as he falls back to being unconscious. Maki's fading body gradually comes back together. Not surprised by anything at all, she knew that Monika had that ability all along.

Later that day Natsuki finally gained her consciousness in her bedroom. She went next door to Yasuki's bedroom, there she found Maki and Monika sitting next to where he laid. They didn't mentioned about anything that happened when she was unconscious. Fortunately she didn't bother and acted like everything was normal to her.

"Now's not the time to settle everything. We still need to do something else too." Said Maki.

"What more can we do?" Monika asked. "I mean, we got him back. Isn't it supposed to be over?"

"I know this might sound embarrassing for you, but," Maki stands up and walks to the door, opening it she would say, "Make love with Yasuki."

"H-hey, wait--" She shuts the door before Monika could stop her.

Totally she felt embarrassed already. Thinking about making love just flusters her mind. Shaking her head she would clear any dirty things off her mind. Then again Yasuki is wounded, he wouldn't have the mobility just yet. Just thinking of him already woke him up.

"My chest hurts." He groan.

"I should be calling the ambulance. I'm sorry." Monika stands up.

Yasuki immediately grabs her wrist. "Don't go. Stay... With me."

"Alright." She sits back down. "Is there anything that you need?"

Yasuki weakly shook his head. "It's just I've forgotten how pain feels like."

Monika sees a small tear rolling off to the side of his face. "You're crying."

"I miss you, Monika."

Her eyes averts from him. "I would say the same to you too."

He began sniffing and sobbing. Monika have never seen the vulnerable expression in his face before. Pity she feel, yet she didn't know how to make him stop crying. She went ahead and sit on the edge of his bed. Monika leaned down toward him as she press her lips softly against his. The noise coming from his mouth stops, he kissed her back.

That's right, this is our third kiss.

Monika breaks the kiss. "I love you, so you can stop crying now."
