Tribe: Seawing/Rainwing hybrid
Backstory: Two dragons of different tribes, sat anxiously in a cave, both staring at the same thing, an egg, their egg. The father was a Seawing named Seashard, the mother a Rainwing named Prism. They had met in secret and it was love at first sight. Not long after they had met, they started dating. Days went by quickly and soon the Seawing proposed. They married in private and only the Rainwing's family knew, and they were acceptant. Now their first child was about to hatch, the first hybrid in history. The egg was indigo with multicoloured stars and swirls covering every side. Prism, who had fallen to sleep into Seashard's warm wings, quickly awoke when he poked her in the side and whispered, "She's hatching." Cracks burst onto the shell's surface and almost immediately the shell shattered into pieces and a dragonet waltzed out, like a diva, but before she made it to her mother's outstretched arms, her wobbly legs gave out. She fell faced first to the stone floor and let out a squeak in frustration. " Come here little one." Prism coaxed while she picked up her newly hatched daughter. The little dragonet was perfect in everyway. Her aquamarine eyes were a mix of her mother's jade eyes and her father's sapphire ones. She had colour changing scales, like a Rainwing, but yet the build out of a Seawing. The dragonet giggled while her mother tickled her stomach. " She's beautiful." Prism said proudly. "Just like you" Seashard said, with a grin. " Stop it." she said, poked him jokingly. "What should we name her?" Seashard inquired while staring at his new daughter fondly. "Lemondrop. We will name her Lemondrop." Prism answered. She handed Lemondrop to he father. He kissed the top of Lemondrop's head and announced " Lemondrop. A perfect name for my perfect daughter."
"I don't want to go to school!!" Lemondrop complained to her mother. " It'll be good for you, you'll make friends!" Prism replied. "No I won't." Lemondrop muttered crossing her arms "Everyone in the Rainforest hates me, that's why I stay inside all day! I have no doubt that it will be any different at school." "LEMONDROP! You are a very intelligent and kind dragon, you will be fine." Her mother scolded. " Whatever you say mother" Lemondrop muttered as she walked out the door, slamming it behind her. Prism stared at the door, was her daughter right, would dragons really hate her?
Time flew by and Lemon found herself being dragged out of the Rainwing village to a school. When she got there, she begged her parents not to leave, but, they did. The school was called Jade Mountain Academy. Lemon found out that she was in the sapphire winglet. She hurriedly found her sleeping cave. ( is that what you call it?) She was beat there becuase, a vicous looking Skywing was already sitting on a legde. The Skwing turned and stared menacingly at Lemon. This made Lemon feel uneasy and she expeditiously looked away and spared no time getting to a hammock that was on the far side of the cave beside a scroll rack. She picked up a scroll and promptly jumped on to the hammock and started reading. When night fall came, she put the scroll away and fell asleep.
The next day she ambeled her way to the pray center for breakfast. An Icewing snraled at her while she walked by, " Filthy hybrid," the Icewing growled. Lemon turned to face the Icewing and cowered in fear. " Oh, what's wrong, little filthy blooded rat? Scared?" the Icewing taunted. The others at her table laughed, as if this was funny. Lemon had always done her best to stay away from other dragons and this was why. They always hated her. Was it her fault, she had always questioned her mother. Prism would look her in the eye and say that she was the most perfect dragon in the world, but what if her mother was wrong? What if Lemon was weird? "Whats your name?" the Icewing said agressivly. "L-l-l-e-e--mm-m-on." Lemondrop whimpered weakly."Speak up, I can't hear you" The bully mocked. All Lemon did in response was squeak. "What's wrong? To scared to speak?" The Icewing derided again. Her insults were spontaineous. The Icewing only stopped when the gong finally rung. As the others hurried off to meet their winglet, the Icewing pinned Lemon down and punched her square in the eye. School was off to a bad start.
For the next week, everyday the Icewing never failed to find Lemon to tease and bully her. And without fail, Lemon turned up to every class with a new scratch or bruise. On a Friday, while Lemon was having history, and an anouncement rang all throughout the school. "Everyone please head down to the assembley cave, we are having a speech. Lemon's heart jumped a beat, she had never been to an assembly before.
The cave quieted as a proud looking Sandwing stepped up onto the stage and grabbed a microphone." My name is Lion and today I will be talking to you about .........................Bullying."
Lemon stepped out of the cave, her heart transformed. That dragon, Lion, had inspired her and now she was going to take his advice. The Icewing, Polarwind, grabbed her and slammed her into the ground. "STOP!!" Lemon screeched. " Why should I? Your opion is worthless to me. All filthy hybrids like you mean nothing to the world. Nobody would even notice if you suddenly disappeared, cause nobody cares about you." As much as Lemon tried to force the words out of her mouth, she just coudn't. She could not stand up for herself. Just as Lemon had lost all hope of stopping Polarwind, Lion stepped out of the door. Polarwind was to busy shouting insults at Lemon to notice. "NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU!!! YOUR WORTHLESS" She repeated holaring. Polar pulled her fist back, ready to puch Lemon in the guts, when a golden pushed Polar away from Lemon and helped Lemon stand up. Once Lemon was standing, she relized that this dragon was Lion. He walked over to Polar and said sternly "Were you even listening in that assembly?" He questioned " Also, many dragons care about her, including me. And what gives you, or anyone, the right to feed lies to other dragons and be cruel to them for being unique?" He countinued. Polar was silent. " Alright, now, go back to your supposed to be and hopefully you never bully anyone again. Leson learned" He finished. Polar obeyed and promptly flew back to her classroom. Lion turned to Lemon "Are you alright?" he asked. Lemon nodded " Thanks for standing up for me. I couldn't do it myself. I don't have it in me." She said. "Everyone has it in them. It's just only the dragons who choose to do it and know that it is worth can stand up for themselves" He said and flew away. As he departed Lemon knew that she wanted to be just like Lion when she grew up. She would help others stand up for themselves and she would stand up for others, becuase she didn't want anyone else to have to endure the same torture that she did at her first year of JMA.
