Sing Part Two (Johnny X Jamie)

Chapter 4: Officially Meeting the New Group

The others got to know the new group while Jamie paced back and forth backstage, rubbing her arms and ruffling her fur. She was a little nervous of this new group with no idea why. Johnny took notice and went over to her.

"Hey. You okay?" he asked.

She nearly jumped at the sound of his voice then answered a little too quickly, "Johnny! Oh yeah, I'm fine!"

She smiled, but Johnny raised a brow.

"Jamie, you're acting weird. And when that happens, I know something's wrong. So what is it?" he asked, gently taking her hands.

She sighed, rested her forehead against his and answered, "I've got a bad feeling about this new group. At least for a couple of them."

"Why?" Johnny wondered.

"I don't know, but I sometimes get this feeling about certain things that aren't right. And every time I felt that, I was always right," Jamie explained.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

"Yes," she nodded.

"Well, how about you get to know them first? It wouldn't hurt. You can't judge a book by its cover," Johnny pointed out.

"Well, this book has had a bit of judgement in her life," Jamie said, indicating to herself and looking away.

He put a finger under her chin, got her to look at him, and told her, "When you joined this show, the only one who did that was Mike and no one paid attention to him. You've got nothing to worry about. I promise."

She smiled and kissed him, which he eagerly returned. When they parted, she nodded.

"Okay. Let's do it," she said.

He guided her over to them. Brooke immediately saw them first.

"Who is this, Johnny?" she wondered.

"This is my girlfriend, Jamie," Johnny introduced.

"Nice to meet you," Cheyenne replied.

"Yeah," Steve said with a little too much enthusiasm for Jamie's liking.

"Thanks?" Jamie replied.

"Well, it's very great to meet you," Jerry said.

"Yep," Ryan agreed.

"You too," Jamie nodded.

"Say Brooke, didn't you want to make friends with her?" Courtney asked.

"I did. Can I borrow her for a minute?" Brooke asked Johnny.

"Sure," Johnny nodded, kissed Jamie's cheek, and said, "Have fun."

"Promises, promises," she whispered back, making him chuckle.

Jamie walked up to her, Brooke put an arm around her arm, and lead her out of the theater.

"Have fun, you guys!" Jerry shouted after them.

They went up to the office, where Jamie started to get a little nervous.

"So, where are you guys from?" Jamie asked once they entered the office.

She was startled by the door slamming. She looked at Brooke, who was giving her a hateful glare.

"Let's get something straight, Jamie," Brooke started, saying her name with disgust, and continued, "We are not friends. We will never be friends. We are going to destroy you and your group in this contest and I will win Johnny's heart."

"Excuse me?" Jamie demanded and said angrily, "Wouldn't that be Johnny's choice? And last time I checked, he chose me."

"Oh please. Look at yourself compared to me. I'm way prettier than you. He's only with you because he hasn't met someone like me until I came. And here I am," Brooke smirked, approaching her dangerously.

"If Johnny decides that, then that's his choice, not yours or mine. But I love him and he loves me. No one can change that except him if that's what he wants," Jamie told her with the same tone as she approached Brooke.

"We'll see about that. I can change his mind in an instant. And Mr. Moon already decided that we are singing a duet and whoever the audience decides is the winner will sing a duet with Johnny. Which will be me because you can't sing," Brooke said.

Jamie almost hesitated until there was a knock on the door. Brooke went to the door to see Courtney.

"I think she got the message, huh," Courtney smirked.

"Oh yeah. She did," Brooke did the same, looking at Jamie then fist-bumping Courtney.

They left a shocked Jamie in the room to process what she was told, even though she recorded the whole thing on her phone.
