Chapter 29: "Rewrite the Stars"

Johnny and Jamie made it back and gave Buster the thumbs up. He saw and they went a little further back to another section of curtains and got hooked up in their harnesses.

"You ready?" Jamie asked.

"Yeah, I am. Kiss for luck?" Johnny asked.

Jamie smiled and kissed him.

When they parted, they whispered to each other, "Break a leg."

That's when Buster said, "Now for the duet of the night, Johnny and Jamie."

Both of them came out (in the costumes in the video) and they began. For their solos, they stayed on the stage with their own microphones.

[Johnny:]

It's not a secret I try to hide

So don't keep saying our hands are tied

They placed their microphones down, their wireless ones turned on, a rope dropped down, Johnny grabbed it and Jamie, and things started getting real.

[Jamie:]
"It feels impossible"
[Johnny:]
"It's not impossible"
[Jamie:]
"Is it impossible?"
[Both:]

Then as they sang the chorus, they swung around the whole theater. Everyone watched in amazement as they soared through the air.

[Both:]
"How do we rewrite the stars?

Nothing can keep us apart
Cause you are the one I was meant to find

No one can say what we get to be
Why don't we rewrite the stars?
Changing the world to be ours"

They landed back on the stage and Jamie got her mic as her wireless one cut off.

[Jamie:]
"You know I want you
It's not a secret I try to hide
But I can't have you
We're bound to break and
My hands are tied"

Everyone cheered as Johnny and Jamie smiled at each other then he picked her up and spun her around as she hugged his neck.

Buster came out and said, "The amazing Johnny and Jamie everyone."
