It was a week since Jamie and Johnny had their first full rehearsal for their duet and now it was the day of the show. Jamie made it down to the prison with the money in hand, already ready for the show.

She went up to the desk where the police officer was working until he looked at her.
"Can I help you, Miss?" he asked.
"Yes you can. I would like to bail someone out," she answered.
"Name of prisoner?" the policeman requested.
"Big Daddy/Marcus," Jamie said.
"Do you have the money?" he continued.
"Right here," she stated, handing the money to him.
He took it and told her to wait. She sat down in the waiting area for a while, anxious for the surprise yet to come. Then she saw Big Daddy in his regular clothes with a smile on his face. She smiled as she stood up and walked up to him.
"Long time no see, Marcus," Jamie greeted.
"Same with you. I'm ready to see my son," Marcus responded.
"You will. We just need to sneak you to the theatre without him noticing. Mr. Moon has a seat reserved for you so you can see everything," she informed.
"Sounds like a plan. Let's get down there," he urged.
They left the prison and made it to the theater. They went in through the lobby and looked in to see Johnny was on the stage. She signaled to Marcus to wait there. She went in quietly and saw Buster in the audience.
"Hey, boss," she called, getting his attention, then told him, "Marcus is waiting in the lobby. Can you get Johnny to stay backstage until his performance?"
"You got it," Buster whispered, Jamie hid, then Buster requested, "Johnny, you want to head back and get ready?"
"Yes sir, Mr. Moon," Johnny nodded and went backstage.
"You're good," Buster called.
Jamie came out and went to the lobby. She opened the door and ushered Marcus in. They walked in where Buster greeted them.
"Ah, Marcus. Good to finally meet you," Buster said, offering a hand.
"Same with you," Marcus responded, shaking his hand, then remarked, "Thank you for giving me the opportunity to see my son perform."
"It was all Jamie. Her heart is so dedicated to your son and everyone around her," Buster told him.
"Yes she is. I've already considered her family," Marcus stated, putting an arm around Jamie.
"Thanks guys," Jamie said then added, "Y'all are about to make me cry."
They laughed and Marcus went ahead and took his seat. Jamie went backstage, hoping that everything would go according to plan.
