Sing Part Two (Johnny X Jamie)

Chapter 27: "Dark Horse"

"Now this will be the most interesting sing off of the night. Because the winner of this one will sing a duet with Johnny at the end of the show. How does that sound?" Buster asked.

The audience cheered in approval.

"Alright! Now introducing our amazing Jamie and new comer Brooke!" Buster announced, sounding a little strained when saying Brooke's name, then walked off.

Both female gorillas went out on stage, giving each other death glares. The audience reacted quickly since they knew this was going to be crazy. The music began and they sang.

[Jamie:]

[Brooke:]

[Jamie:]

The audience cheered at the end. Jamie smiled and waved to the crowd while Brooke just smirked, thinking she had the upper hand. Buster came back out.

"Weren't they great, folks?" he asked, earning applause, then Buster said, "Now here's where you pick the winner to sing a duet with Johnny. Will it be Brooke?"

Brooke posed for a wild crowd, but all she got was a little applause. She stopped and stared at the audience in shock.

"Or will it be Jamie?" Buster asked.

Then the whole theater cheered, including everyone backstage. The only one who didn't was Brooke.

"Our lucky winner is Jamie!" Buster announced.

"What? No! This can't happen! She can't even sing and she doesn't even deserve Johnny! I do! Not some ugly gorilla who has no place here at all!" Brooke yelled.

Everyone had already quieted down and it was dead silent. Brooke looked at the audience, expecting them to agree. But they booed her and she was in shock. She stomped off the stage and immediately left the theater.

"Well, that happened," Buster commented then told everyone to change the subject, "Now, since Jamie will sing the duet, we're going to give them a minute to get ready."
