Sing Part Two (Johnny X Jamie)

Chapter 31: Explanation

Jamie got back in her first outfit since everyone was going out to celebrate. She walked out to be greeted by a surprise kiss from Johnny. It took a second, but she soon melted into it. When they parted, he hugged her.

"Thank you," he thanked.

"You're welcome," she returned.

"How did you do it?" Johnny wondered.

"It's a long and crazy story," Jamie said.

"We got time. Not everyone is ready to go," he pointed out.

She sighed with a smile, put her stuff down, and they both sat down.

"Ever since Mr. Moon hired me, I started saving up to bail your dad out. I didn't tell you because I wasn't sure I would have enough to do so by a certain time. I wanted to do it for our anniversary, but I didn't have enough. Then I thought your birthday, but that would've been a while longer. So, I decided to do it by this show. I told Marcus about it and he was super excited. Then that night of our date to the club, I got texts from an unknown number, saying that they had the money I saved. I was about to have a panic attack because Mr. Moon had just given me a $1,000 bonus to help me with the bail. I knew it was Brooke because in one of the texts, she emphasized my name like when we met. She demanded that for me to get the money back, I had to break up with you. The next day, I told Mr. Moon and he got Ash to help make a fake video to make it look like we did. She gave me the money, which was all there, I locked it away for safe keeping, then I ran to your place to let you know what was going on without spoiling the surprise. Then before the show, I bailed him out and brought him just before the show started," Jamie explained.

Johnny processed all the information she told him. Brooke was threatening to keep his dad in jail unless Jamie broke up with him. This made him mad, but he felt better knowing that Jamie would never let him go and was still determined to help his dad.

"Brooke went lower than I thought," Johnny commented.

"She put a new definition on 'low'," she said.

"I really wish she wasn't a part of the new group," he remarked.

"Same here. But one good thing did come out of this whole thing," Jamie pointed out.

"What's that?" Johnny asked, a little confused.

"Our duet. You told me that it was a reassurance of what you wanted, needed, and loved. She made me think that you wanted someone like her, but you made me remember that everything that happened since we met happened for a reason. I'm so lucky to have you in my life and I wouldn't trade it for the world," she explained.

He smiled and replied as they looked at each other, "I love you. So much."

Jamie caressed his cheek and told him, "I love you too."

They kissed for a minute until they heard someone clearing their throat. They stopped and looked to see everyone looking at them with smirks on their faces. They chuckled as the couple blushed and smiled. They got up and left to celebrate.
