Alexandra POV

We arrived at my parents house at six thirty on the dot and were greeted by aunt Samantha.

"You are back," I yelled giving her a bone-crushing bear hug.

"Yes darling," she laughed returning the hug.

She examined me from head to toe and said,

"You still look like that high school princess from two and a half years ago," she replied kissing my cheek.

"This must be um ... Watson," she said plastering a fake smile on her face and shaking his hand. Wonder what's up with that? And she said the wrong name.

"Good evening ma'am. It's Wilson. Pleasure to meet you," he replied smiling brightly with her.

"Potato potato," she said and opened the door for us to come in.

"Sweetheart you're here," mom said giving me a hug and a kiss on the forehead.

"Wellington," mom said nodding at my fiance and returning to the kitchen.

"Alex," dad called tickling my side.

"Walsh," dad nodded stiffly at Wilson.

"Good evening sir. It's Wilson," Wilson said.

Dad nodded and went out to the garage for something.

"Why do they keep getting my name wrong? And who was that lady that greeted us at the door?" Wilson asked me as we went to the kitchen.

"That would be my ex best friend's mother," I said softly.

"You never told me about her, your best friend," he said wrapping his hands around my waist and pressing me into him.

"Him," I murmured.

"Him?"

I nodded and replied, "That is a story for another day."

He nodded in understanding and removed himself from me to see what he can help do.

If aunt Sam is here then it means the rumors are true. Liam is back.

Oh boy!

I made my way up the staircase and went to my old bedroom. When I moved I only took one and two clothes, my devices and pictures. Everything else remained including the letter from Liam two and a half years ago. I stuffed my hand into the side of my mattress and pulled out the envelope that still smelled like him.

"Liam. I'm sorry but you deserve better than me but I will always love you. I understand now that love is more important than money but I found the guy for me," I whispered as tears poured down my face.

I opened the letter and read it again as the feelings from all those years ago came rushing back.

"My three years are almost up but I hope you find someone who will love you better than I ever could. I'm sorry Liam," I murmured.

I took out the necklace that stilled sparkled with warmth and placed it around my neck.

From my door I heard some sounds and when I pulled open the door and my mother and aunt Sam tumbled to the floor before me.

"Eavesdropping is bad," I sniffled and walked down the steps.

"We need to get them together," mom said as I left.

We all sat at the dinner table as dad said grace.

"Dive in everyone," mom said.

"What is it you had to tell us?" Dad asked taking out some rice.

"Well. Mom, dad, aunt Sam ... we are getting married," I smiled.

"We are engaged," Wilson said looking at me.

"What!" Mom screamed spitting food out her mouth on the floor.

Aunt Sam slammed her hands on the table while dad downed the whole jug of ice cold juice then began making monkey sounds.

"Welcome to my family," I said getting back to eating but not before seeing a glimpse of something in his eyes.

"May I have a word please Watson," dad snapped.

Wilson nodded tightly and stood up.

He followed my father to his study and I looked at the two women I was left with.

They immediately began 'fake' gushing about the upcoming wedding and demanded to see the ring.

Third Person

Within the walls of Jordan's study Jordan sat in his chair behind the desk as Wilson sat before him.

"Are you aware of the fact that before you propose to a young woman that you should seeking the blessings of her parents?" Jordan asked placing his fingers together.

"Where I come from I was never thought that," Wilson responded.

"I am sorry if I have offended you," he continued.

Jordan gave Wilson a long hard look before saying,

"Do not let it happen again."

"I won't sir," Wilson responded.

"Welcome to the family," Jordan said shaking his hand and signalling for him to leave.

"Even if it pains me to say so," Jordan muttered and returned to the family dinner where the girls were discussing the upcoming wedding.

"Every two days the both of you will meet me at my office at precisely four o'clock or else," Victoria said.

"Sure mom," Alexandra said.

"Starting tomorrow," Victoria finalized.

Wilson and Alexandra nodded and the family wrapped up dinner and watched a comedy in the family theatre.
