Alexandra POV
After six months of labour the day finally arrived. All the invitations were issued and we were expecting about five hundred people to attend. Yes that many.
The bridesmaids dresses were bought and pressed and their shoes and accessories were neatly lined off waiting for them to dress. The same was done for the groomsmen. The church looked spectacular when we went for rehearsals last night. The colours were blue, silver and white.
The only persons who were dressed were my mom, aunt Sam and dad.
"Okay people this wedding is in two hours, bridesmaids go dress. Maid of honour you too and come back immediately to dress the bride," aunt Sam said smiling at me.
"I can't believe you are getting married," mom said grasping my face in her hands and looking into my eyes.
She turned her face to aunt Sam and muttered,
"Even though I don't 100% agree with your choice of a groom."
"Mom," I smiled playfully hitting her arm as I went to the vanity to take my seat.
"There is absolutely no future for me and the person you both want me to marry," I sighed looking at them from through the mirror.
"God! Why are you so ridiculous?" Mom snapped her playful mood gone as she wrapped her hands around the bed post.
"Victoria," Aunt Sam said in a warning tone.
"Money is not life Alexandra," she continued this time facing me with her hands in cuffs at her sides.
"If it gets me to where I need to go then it's life but I understand what you are trying to say," I responded.
"So you married that Watson guy for money?" She snapped.
"No I married him for love and for money," I replied.
"Which love? Love for him or love for money?" She asked.
"Both," I responded.
She shook her head and went to stand by the window.
Lily, my maid of honour came in the room wearing her blue, long dress and silver heels. She looked radiant.
"I'm feeling some tension so I will step back out," Lily said slowing backing out.
"Its fine. It's my wedding day and I do not intend on being late," I said calmly.
"Then let's get this bride dressed," aunt Sam said.
"I shall get the hair dresser," mom said and walked out not meeting my eyes.
"Listen to me Alex," aunt Sam said pulling a chair up next to me as Lily hunted for my jewelry.
I turned to her as she continued,
"Your parents and I just want the best for you. We believe that the best for you is for you to marry my son. We pushed you to realise those feelings but what we really did was actually damage you for which we are sorry. Your mother is not good at being subtle. If you really love Wilson then go down that aisle and say I do. If you are having second thoughts then know this; you never forget your first love. Besides your three years are not up as yet. You still have a couple more hours, if you change your mind. "
She winked and I laughed as tears ran down my face.
"You are making me cry," I muttered smiling a bit.
"Oh honey," she smiled and pulled me into a hug.
I hugged her back and said,
"You are making me second guess my wedding."
