-Drama queen.

One amusing thing I noticed when I stepped back to observe people and their behavior is that most are all talk and no action.

Everyone is quick to assure you that they're by your side during tough times.

They say to call if you need anything and promise to be your rock.

But it's all lies.

Many just want to gather information or be close to the drama unfolding around them, while others get caught up in their own lives and forget about you.

I often find myself scolding my own feelings when I reach out to a friend for support, as if I'm just seeking attention and putting on a facade.

In an instant, I shift from feeling let down by a friend who doesn't support me to blaming myself for thinking I might annoy someone with my problems.

It's a constant internal battle: imposter, imposter, imposter.

That phrase plays on repeat in my mind, chastising me for being dramatic whenever I feel emotional and for daring to ask for help.

I used to see myself as an optimist, but lately, I feel more like the opposite.
