{ prologue }

Kassie Summers.

        Moves city to city, state to state for her mom's job. Her mom works two jobs or sometimes a full shift to support her kids. When Kassie's mom is never around, Kass helps her 12 year old brother Tyler. Kassie is like another parent for Tyler. 

        When they moved to LA for their moms job, once again, they live in an apartment for at least 2 years. Kassie got made fun of in school sometimes. She hated school more then anything, but she still loves LA. She loves the weather, she loves walking to the park, she loves her space. 

        Then her mom gets a call for them to move to New York.

        Kassie wasn't that excited at first, but she figures she can get a change in life and not be picked on by kids. She knew no one in New York at first, but when she finds some on her own, things go as she planned.

        When she meets a guy who seems so tough at first, but then realizes how he isn't so much, she tries to trust him, but he gives her a reason not to trust him.
