"The story starts back in high school. Clifford Former High, about 12 years ago."
"Sissy, get up already. We will be late." twelve-year-old Austin yells from the door.
"Buzz off brother", I mutter and slip under the blanket again.
Yes, I am a rich spoilt brat who loves to sleep. But you can't possibly blame me for having such a soft and cozy bed, now can you?
Once I have slipped into darkness, I feel something soft hitting me constantly. As much as I don't give a fudge about what's going on around me while I am in my dreams, it's still quite annoying that somebody would take advantage of that for hitting me continuously while I am asleep.
"Ugh. Stop this nonsense already."
I stick one eye open to see who it is. Well, I am not really shocked.
Yup ladies and gentlemen, that's Mr. Amancio Corvette. My dad.
"Ugh, dad. What are you, five years old? Even Austin is better than you. Just look at the boy. He is so busy doing... Um, hey what are you trying to do?"
I jerk my head upwards to find my little brother near the footrest of my bed.
"Well, I was just trying to help dad wake you up by tickling under your feet. But this blanket really is a mess. Can you please help me figure it out?" he scratches the back of his neck.
"I am worried that it would not be necessary anymore son. Your sister is wide awake now. Right honey?" my dad smirks.
"Ugh! My life sucks." I mutter and stomp my whole way towards the bathroom. I can still hear their laughter. They are giving each other high fives on their success I can say. My annoying little family.
While I shower, dad knocks the door. I close the shower and answer, "yes dad?"
"I am heading out. Get ready. We will go to the carnival together after I come back. Be a good girl honey. Bye."
"Bye dad." I hear the footsteps fading away.
After getting dressed in a backless crop top i bought just yesterday and some black ripped jeans and a leather jacket, I stand in front of the closet, contemplating which footwear to choose. I have so many options that would go perfectly with the outfit. And when I say so many, I literally mean 'many'. There are more than 80 pairs of footwear I own. Yeah, I really have an unhealthy obsession with shoes. Actually not only shoes but dresses, chocolates and anything that glitters. And when you have lots of money, you can have your way, can't you?
Finally, after getting ready, I run downstairs to get some food. Oh no! It's not like I am some crazy foodie but it's the smell which is driving me crazy.
If you haven't guessed yet, its pancakes. Chocolate pancakes with chocolate syrup.
By the time I reach the breakfast counter, my brother is already gobbling down the pancakes.
"Uhm, looks delicious." I am already drooling.
"Uhm, it's delicious trust me. Sorry sissy but I have finished all." He burps. "You are late."
My jaw drops in astonishment. "No, you didn't." I drop the pitch of my voice to emphasize the effect.
But much to my annoyance, he simply grins.
Suddenly he takes a plate from the chair in his side and places it on the table. "Your share."
I place my hands on my hips and narrow my eyes at him. "I don't know about studies, but you sure have learned how to lie well."
