I feel like I'm on a roll guys. I've been feeling a little inspired lately and I feel like I could finish up the requests before the end of the week.
This chapter is inspired by a story I'm actually writing called "Guardian Angel" (the name might change later) in which a girl makes a wish for an angel, but only a friendly reaper is around to hear it.
This is actually a scene in the story that I've been planning out for a while, so it was nice to sit down and test it out.
If you want to check out the prologue for the story it's on my other account OfStoriesUnspoken (the main characters still need names so I'm open to suggestions)
Warning: There is mention of suicide in this chapter

Enjoy.
---------------------"I know that I may not be the angel that you wished for." Tears began streaming down Faitsu's face. Large ghastly wings had ripped through the back of her hoodie, gnarled horns and holes adorning them.
Rakutsu looked on in horror. What was she? A demon?
"But I couldn't let you die. Not like that. Not after I had seen you for who you were." She sobbed, her wings reflexively coming down around her to hide her.
"Who are you?" Rakutsu's voice shook, he felt tears begin to prick his eyes as well. He thought he knew Faitsu, but he was beginning to see that he was wrong.
"I'm a reaper. I was sent to collect your soul after you committed suicide, but I was sent a little early. So I stuck around. When you wished for an angel, I wanted to be there for you, so I disguised myself as a human, went to your school, but in the end I couldn't change anything." She clenched her teeth, they still sat atop the skyscraper from which Rakutsu had tried to jump.
When he had jumped Faitsu, in a rush, had unfurled her wings and saved him.
Now that he was here, looking at her in her weakened state, her demon state, everything was thrown into perspective. He had almost died.
There was so much life to live, he had been so happy for the past couple of weeks with Faitsu, he had almost forgotten his sorrows, but a voice had pricked at the back of his mind the entire time, telling him this feeling was fake.
However, now he knew it wasn't.
Rakutsu shuffled forward, still wary of the girl's wings. Made his way between them to hug the girl. Her hood slid off to reveal two horns and her hair turned to an unnatural pink color.
"To think I was starting to fall in love with a human. Me. A harbinger of death. I don't know why I ever thought that a human could love this." She said, looking at her clawed hands.
"Shut up." Rakutstu said, holding her tight to him. He didn't care what she looked like, who she was, where she was from. This was his best friend. His only friend. He wasn't about to let that go.
"What do you mean?" She asked, her words tugged at him and broke his heart, he had been so cold at first, he shunned his angel. And now here she was, hurting more than he had been.
"Screw angels!" He yelled into the night sky, "who needs them?!" He shouted in a fit of rage.
Faitsu looked on at him with a shocked expression, she didn't know how to respond to the boy.
"Angel's ignored my hurt-our hurt- and did nothing about it. Angel's were going to let me die!" He said, his own tears falling now as he shook her shoulders, this was the most emotion he had ever put into anything.
"But you saved me! You made me happy! If you can do something like that, who needs angels at all?!" He told her, looking into her, now yellow, eyes.
Her breath hitched and she squeezed her eyes shut, and then hugged the human boy close to her. Rakutsu now heaved from exhaustion at putting that much force into his words.
"Thank you so much. I'm so sorry I lied to you." She was now bawling to the full extent of the word. Her shaky breathing and wet tears reminding Rakutsu of the weight that she would've had to bear had he died.
"But now that you've seen me like this. You'll probably see a real angel much sooner than you would've thought." She sobbed.
"What?"
"The angels, they're coming, I cant stop them. They'll kill us to return order." She cried and Rakutsu felt his heart race with anxiety.
No, he couldn't be scared. Not right now when Faitsu needed him. This was a whole new world he couldnt fathom, and he had been thrust into the midst of it.
But he cherished his life now. Faitsu's too. And there was no way he was going down without a fight.
