Held above the world
Like an unresolved conflict
Every night getting more unfurled
But never to be mimicked
Breathing life into Earth
Due to the space between the two
It would not flinch to cause a dearth
Of the very thing that allows you
Fluid in its natural state
Though solid and gaseous in others
Home to ancient life separate
From the life of which it smothers
Flickering in the dead of night
To bring its discoverers warmth and light
It brings with it a hidden side
As it struggles to survive
A time when all was not observed
But simply was, and much deserved
The time when all will be that way again
One last time before the cease of when
On or off, yes or no,
Succeed or fail, one or zero
A daring antithesis presents itself
To gather dust on your mind's shelf
