Chapter 9

That's my girl.

I quickly sat up bringing my hand to my face whipping away tears. I had been crying in my sleep. I miss her so much.

I could feel pain throbbing throughout my body. My pain meds must of warn off. I checked my phone and it was currently 6:45am. Happy was still sound asleep.
Pete was right, he does sleep like a rock.

I reached over and hit the nurse button.
"Hello Ms. Y/LN, you called?" A nurse in her early thirties said. "Everything hurts." I said wincing. "Don't worry we were about to come in and give you some pain medications."

She came in with a small bottle and injected some of the pain medication into my IV tube that was attached to my arm. "Is there anything else I can get you?"

"Just some water" I said.

She returned 2 minutes later with a small cup. "Doctor Johnson wanted me to inform you that you will be able to leave today. I just need you to sign a couple of papers."

"Thank you" I smiled.

My throat was so dry that the first couple of times I drank the water it stung like hell.
I placed the water down and checked my phone again 6:55am.

I sighed and laid my head back begging myself for more sleep. I felt weak. Tired. Sad. I just wanted to go to sleep and wake up in Australia with the smell of my dads bacon and my mum's workout videos in the background. Life was better then.

"No boys aloud in the room in the middle of the night Y/N" Happy spoke startling me.

"We thou- "Y/N I'm always awake even though I may be asleep." He said. Weirdo.

"Well I'm sorry we woke you."
"It's alright, how are you feeling." He said looking at my leg.

"Nurse cane in with pain killers so I'm doing fine so far."

"Good, Tony and Banner are coming in to see you today. Hydra knows where you live and we can't risk that. That is as much as Tony said I could tell you" He said. Of course Tony had to be the one to tell the news. Typical.

"Hello Ms. Y/LN, I brought the release forms." She handed me a little clipboard and a pen. "Thank you" I smiled.

"And before you leave we need to change out the bandages and give you your pain medicine. But these ones will be pills. And there are a couple of visitors for you today. I told them they can come in once I get the okay from you." She said taking off the bandage on eyebrow.

"It looks like that is going to heal very nicely but there still will be a scar."
"That's okay" I said wincing when she cleaned it.

Once she was done she sent my visitors to me. Ned came in first.

"Ned!" He cane towards me and lightly gave me a hug. "I-I brought you a Teddy bear." He said handing me a small brown teddy bear that had a shirt on and said "Get well soon!".

"Aww thank you Ned, have you seen Peter yet?" I smiled.

"Yeah, he's looking better" He said. "I brought him a little LEGO set, but it's kinda useless now that he can't use one of his arms." He said embarrassingly.

"Alright I got to go, get better!" He said hugging me. "I'll text you later!" I called as he walked out.

A few minutes later Dr. Banner and Tony walked in. Tony was carrying a huge bouquet of flowers and balloons, whilst Dr. Banner was carrying a gigantic Teddy bear 3 times his size.

"Oh my god you guys didn't need to get me this!" I said laughing.

"Well we did" Tony remarked smiling. "and on behalf of sheild we are so sorry for your loss." Dr. Banner said.
