Chapter 10

I heard two quiet knocks on my door.
"Who is that?" I said aloud.

"It's Mr. Parker ma'am" A male robot said.
"Wh-at? Who is talking?" I said looking around.

"Mr. Stark assigned me to you, you may give me any name you like Ms. Y/N"

"Do you like Henry?"

"Wonderful name" Henry replied.
"Do you want me to let him in?" Henry now displayed a live video of Peter sitting near my door I smiled watching him for a second.

"Y-Yeah!" The door immediately opened causing Peter to fall back.

"Hey" He said quietly looking up to me laying on his back.

I just laughed and attempted to help him up.

"So- I immediately hit him in the arm.

"Ouch! What was that for?" He said pouting rubbing his arm.

"That! Was for not telling me you moved in literally right next to me here? I mean why are you even here Peter? I mean no offense!" I said.

"S-Stark Internship!" He blurted out.

"So they moved you next to me. Ya know wherever I move you always seem to be my neighbor." I said laughing throwing my head back.

"My-the girl next door." He said whilst I shot him a confused look.

"Ms. Y/N, Mr. Banner would like to see you in the lab" Henry chimed.

"Right now? But I- "He is insisting" Henry interrupted.

I sighed and gave a sorry look to Peter.
"Well I'll see you later I'm just going to go and get lost for a while, I should be back soon." I said walking with Peter outside.

"Do you want me to um-walk you to the uh lab?" Peter said struggling between words obviously blushing.

"I don't mind a little company" I said cruching down the hall.

"So are you also a scientist and stuff" I asked.

"Y-Yeah" he shook his head.

His phone buzzed and he looked down with panic. "Oh god I- I'm really sorry the Internship and stuff needs me!" "Just go a little bit more down and to the right!" He called as he ran down the hallway.

Jeez all the kid does is run! I caught myself smiling at his little antics.

I found my way to the lab. "Hello Mr. Banner."

He motioned me to come over at a screen he was looking at.

"What am I supposed to be looking at?" I said staring at a moving screen.

"Those" he paused "Are all of your DNA"
"There is something off" He brought out a picture of normal DNA and compared it to mine. There was a huge difference.

I looked up to Dr. Banner. "What does this mean?"

"We may or may not of just found the file."

"How are you supposed to extract it?" I said with worry in my voice.

"See and that is my problem, Tony and I have been trying to figure it out." He said placing his hand on his head.

"For now we are going to continue with the tests" He said. So, I guess I'm a lab rat now?

I sighed. "That's fine."

Bruce sensed my annoyance. "But we are not asking for you to come in today, I just needed you to see this." "You are free to go" he said smiling opening the door for me.

I shot him a small smile and headed down the hall.

Now where is my ro- I suddenly bumped into a hard wall someone causing me to fall back. I don't remember a wall being there earlier.
"Oh my god I am so sorry!" A male voice said.

Pain shot up my leg. "You better b- I looked up and low and behold Captain America was standing right in front of me.

"I-I mean it's fine!" I said holding up my hands towards him.

"Here let me help." We ended up grabbing the same crutch at the same time causing him to stumble and fall.

I covered my hand over my mouth to conceal my laugh as he winced.

"I think I deserved that one" He winced again standing up this time successfully helping me up and grabbing my crutches.

"Well that was a hell of a first impression. Steve Rogers." He said lightly shaking my hand that was glued to my crutch.

"Y/N Y/LN" I said smiling.

"Oh! Tony has told me much about you, I'm sorry for your loss"

"I'll be okay, but thank you." I said looking down. There was a slight awkward silence.

"Do you know by any chance where the rooms are?" Wow he basically lives here of course he knows. I mentally slapped myself.

"Of course!" He lead me to my room and we had small talk on our way there. He told me about his time during war which kept the awkward silences to a minimum.

"Oh right between the kid and the almighty Thor" He said lowering his voice holding up an imaginary hammer. What a dork.

"Thank you so much" I said laughing at his previous action.

"Anytime kiddo" He said.

I put my hand up to my door and went inside. There was a small note on my desk and a present.

Inside was a watch. Why would he make me a- the watch suddenly turned on and Henry's voice came through the watch.
Holy shit this is cool!

"Hello Ms. Y/N!" Henry beamed. "Hi Henry!" I replied. "Now you can take me around wherever you need me" Henry said.

"Thank god! Where was this when I needed to get back here? I mean meeting Capt- I mean Steve wasn't bad at all"

"Speaking of meeting new people, Mr. Stark has requested for you to come to his office"
