Chapter 12

"Ahh so I see the kid is the bed?" Tony said swinging around the corner of the main office.

"Cmon Stark you knew I wasn't going to bed" I said rolling my eyes.

"I know" He said smiling towards me.

He then looked at Peter. "12 bucks" He said flatly.

"Wh-what?" Peter said cunfuzzeldly.

"Steal my pizzas and you pay for them" Tony said putting his hands out.

"Tony you could buy the whole pizza franchise" Peter said.

"Ehhh, you're right" Tony said shoving his hands in his pockets.

"Well you kids have fun!" He said walking away.

"Not too much fun!" Tony turned towards us wagging his finger.

I shook my head smiling.

"I feel bad for Ned, it's a hell of a drive up here from where he lives." I said to Peter.

"Yeah I know it sucks that he won't be able to see us"

"Wait, you're not going to school?" I said stopping in the hallway.

"N-no, Tony offered it here and I wouldn't have to worry about scholarships that I needed" He said.

A small oh was all I could get out before stepping towards my room.

"Hey, thanks so much for that" I said pointing out the window towards our fort.
"It really cheered me up, I was just so nervous, scared, and sad I didn't realize I needed some relaxation" I smiled at Peter.

"Yeah! I'm super tired I should get t-" I dropped my crutches and embraced Peter in a tight hug.

"Thank you so much" I said while a small tear rolled down my face.

"Y-Yeah" He said awkwardly patting my back before returning the hug.

"NO TOUCHING!" Steve yelled running full speed towards us.

"FUCK!" I screamed as I fell down before Pete caught me quickly.

"And watch your language!" Steve said with his hands on his hips.

Natasha peeked her head out of her door.
"Again, with the language thing Cap?" She joked.

He waved her off and stared at us. His eyes went back and forth. "Time for bed you two, doors stay locked at night and don't let me regret putting you next to him!" Steve said.

"Gosh! You sound like my Dad!" I said turning around.

"Goodnight Pete!" I said before closing the door. He gave a small smile still terrified by Steve's presence.

"Night Stevie" I said earning a smile and an eyebrow raise.

I closed my door and sunk into my bed.

"God what a day" I said closing my eyes.

"What a day indeed" was the last thing I heard before blacking out.

Bright lights fled into my eyes as I attempted to sit up but my head felt heavy so I laid back

I looked to the side and saw a small surgical tray with all kinds of needles.

Am I in the hospital again?

My eyes began to scan around my surroundings.

I was in a dark room, nothing but me and a small desk beside me.
