Chapter 29

As the midnight drew in I couldn't fall asleep with Tony constantly on my mind.
It began to rain. I grabbed a small blanket and wrapped it around myself and quietly opened my door. I was afraid to wake anyone.

I walked along the marbled halls. The smell of the rain reminded me of my childhood. My little yellow rain boots splashing in the puddles as my mom yelled at dad for letting me do so. A small smile appeared on my face. Although they were not my real parents, they still gave me a wonderful life. What I would do to reverse everything right now.

I looked at the bracelets around my wrist restricting my abilities and sighed. I can't wait to get these off.

I eventually walked towards a small garden with a beautiful tree standing in the middle. I debated on whether walking right into the rain to reach the tree.

I threw my blanket the side and like a child I ran to the tree dancing in the rain as I did so.

Immediately regretting my decisions I hid under the tree.

"You found my tree" Loki said from where I ran.

At this point the rain began to pick up and we had to yell over it.

"Were you following me?" I questioned.

"N- no I always come here" Loki yelled. "What are you doing here?" He said.

"I should be asking you the same question" I said.

He rolled his eyes and ran over to me soaking wet. His hair naturally began to form little curls.

"Can't sleep?" He asked.

"Yep. You too?"

He nodded his head.

"When Thor and I were little we used to come out here with mother and she would teach us about the flowers and the trees in the garden" He said leaning his back on the tree brushing his wet curly hair out of his face.

"What's that one?" I said pointing to a bright pink flower. It's beauty encapsulated me as the rain slowly hit the petals.

"That is the den vakre djevelens kyss" He said turning towards me.

"It's beautiful" I said.

"Its called that because it's beauty draws you in... " Loki looked deeply into my eyes.

"But as soon as you want to get close and touch it..." Loki drew closer. I could feel his breathe on my face.

"The flower emits a toxin and will kill anything that tries to get near it" Loki said with a devilish smile.

"Why don't you go try it out yourself" I said using my pointer finger on his chest to get him to back up.

"Oh it's only deadly to small insects." He said shrugging turning around.

"Okay I'm officially cold whe-

"I know what'll warm you up" Loki said walking into the middle of the rain.

"Ah yes sitting in the rain" I said sarcastically.

"No" He sighed. He reached out his hand to me. "Care to dance Asguardian?" I raised my brow.

"I mean now that you're an Asgaurdian might as well show you some tradition?" He said offering his hand again.

I hesitated for a moment.

"Ah what the hell" I grabbed his hand and he immediately began to spin me around towards up.

I laughed as we met face to face.

"Follow my lead" He said with that devilish smile.

He grabbed my waist and my hand. My body shivered at his touch.

"Relax" He whispered.

He suddenly spun me around and led me into a small waltz turning as he stepped. I laughed as he spun me around again.

"Ready to go up?" He said smiling.

"Up?!" I gasped.

He lifted me by the waist and spun me around and around. The rain of my face suddenly felt warm.

I felt free.

Loki slowly let me down. His hair had curled around his brows. I slowly pushed them out of his face.

I noticed what I was doing and drew my hands back blushing.

Loki frowned.

"Do you know where Tony is staying?" I said attempting to change the mood.

"Tony, right. Let me take you there" Loki turned on his heel and started on his way.
I grabbed my blanket and threw it around my soggy wet self and followed.

"Here we are." Loki said stopping at a door.

"Thanks"

After a moment of awkward silence I chimed In
"This is a secret between you and I. I never went out of my bedroom you hear?"

"Until next time" he lifted up my hand a kissed it staring into my eyes. I slowly drew my hand back as he walked away.

I turned around and hesitated to knock on his door. I finally gave in because I was so cold.

"Who- Y/N?" Tony said as he rubbed his eyes to recheck his vision.

"Hi" I said sheepishly.

"You're soaking wet! What did you do swim in the rain! Come inside" Tony said.

He wrapped his arms around me and shuffled me inside.

"You're freezing!"

"Here take this and change and then we can talk" Tony threw an AC/DC shirt at me and shuffled me into the bathroom.

He closed the door on me. I stared at myself in the mirror.

I was a mess.
