The town was full of excitement, it was filling the air. It was finally Halloween, and everybody was ready for it. Children excitedly left school in their costumes, high schoolers, and college kids were ready for the non-stop parties, and Luna and Harry were ready for the night ahead of them.
Oh, how that night would turn out.
"Luna, what time are you gonna leave tonight?" Max asked while grabbing the milk from the fridge under the counter.
"Around 7. I wanna get there early so we are guaranteed a seat. It's going to be a busy night."
"I feel like it's a bad idea for them to stay open for 24 tonight into tomorrow. People are going to have to push unconscious bodies just for someone to get a seat." Max laughed.
It seemed as time was going by slow and everybody was so anxious to get out and enjoy their night. Luna, Justine, and Max were kept busy catering orders. So many people wanted baked goods for their Halloween parties, but at least it was keeping time moving.
"I still think that Harry is going to lose his shit when he sees you in that dress tonight," Justine said elbows deep with flour.
"He doesn't like me like that." Luna groaned.
"Do you not fucking remember our conversation, Luna," Max said annoyed.
"I don't know." Luna sighed. She had confessed her feeling for Harry to her best friends last night, not that Justine, Max, or Daisy needed the confirmation of her feelings. They had known for months.
"He wished for you, Luna. Do you not remember that?" Max huffed.
"Yes, I remember."
"Does he know about the... the uh.." Justine said looking down playing with her fingers.
"Oh um, no." Luna looked down, ashamed of her past.
"Sorry." Justine pulled her into a hug and Max joined the two.
"It's fine, I'm okay." Luna sadly smiled.
The three had gotten back to work and avoided any talk about Harry or anything bad in the world. Daisy was whipped too, not just by Niall but from work. Holidays were really the only times that you would see Daisy working her ass off.
Harry had come in at some point to get something to eat, but Luna was busy in the back. He didn't mind waiting so he sat there for about an hour waiting for Luna to come.
"Hey sorry about that. Just trying to complete all of these orders before I head out." She sat down and handed Harry his hot chocolate.
"Don't worry about it." he kindly smiled at her.
"So, are you ready for tonight?" Luna smiled moving her eyebrows up and down.
"Extremely. I think we should go trick-or-treating first though." Harry laughed.
"Sure, if that's what you want to do." Luna smiled back.
They had talked some more nonsense before Luna was whisked away to go finish up in the back. Harry had left with a huge smile on his face. The thing is, it was easy for others to see that Harry liked Luna. His wish, the patch, his words. But for Harry, it was hard to see if Luna liked him as well. She was shy whenever he complimented her and she opened up to him rather quickly, but for him, there weren't obvious signs. But deep down he knew that they had a chance. It was written in the stars.
"C'mon Niall, get off your lazy ass." Harry threw a newspaper at Niall who was sleeping on the couch. Niall groaned a response refusing to get up. Harry sighed and let him be and started to clean up the coffee table which has been collecting numerous amounts of papers over the past couple of days.
