Confrontation

    "What the hell do you think you're doing (Y/n)?" Marinette says to me as I abruptly close the attic door, leaving chat outside. She looks at me incredulously. "What? You think I'm gone and you can just take my superpowers? Take my life? Well that's not going to fly."

    "Wha- " I try to say, interrupted.

    "No. Just no. Give it back."

    "The Miraculous?"

    "Yes, the Miraculous. It belongs to me. Does Master Fu even know that you exist? He chose me, me."

    "Marinette... Let's just talk about this..." (she's starting to sound like Chloe), "I think that we need to calm down here. A lot has happened since you've been gone and I need to explain what happened. Aren't you interested at all in how I had to toil all the time to save Paris? But I love this job, being Ladybug feels amazing and it gives me strength and power. Maybe I wasn't chosen, but Ladybug is who I am now. Maybe we should let Tikki decide."

    So I say spots off and Tikki sees Marinette. But the thing is Tikki has a dedication and loyalty to Marinette. They're best friends. But so are we. Believe it or not Tikki and I grew quite close over the summer.

    Tikki doesn't know what to do. She doesn't even rush to greet Marinette. After all these thousands of years, it's amazing that she didn't know herself how to handle the situation.

    "Well, there's never been two ladybugs. But Master Fu has more kwamis, maybe you too can save Paris together-"

    "No! Can't you see! I'm back now and I want my old life back. Things like this just can't change. It's not fair!"

    "I need to tell you something important Marinette-"

    "Get out of my room! Get out of my house!"

    "Marinette please-"

    "I've heard from everyone already. I've heard from Rose, Juleka, and Nathaniel. I've heard that you have a thing for Adrien, but I'm telling you that you need to leave Paris and back off."

      I wish he were here with me right now. Adrien would know how to handle this. As soon as this is over I need to find him and tell him that I wasn't always Ladybug. I shout, trying to get to the point, trying to get this whole thing over with "WE'RE DATING! And no! Ladybug IS who I am NOW."

    And she loses it. Sullen. And Defeated. It's honestly heartbreaking, to see her like this. To know that things won't work out and that it's my fault. But she treated Chat so poorly too... he loved her so much and she was so cruel... I was finally able to make him happy... We have something real together... we have honesty.

    "I need to go, I say. I need to tell your parents hello, and if I'm scheduled to leave today and you're really kicking me out, then I need to go find a place to stay. My parents back in my country want me to learn and immerse myself in a different place, so I'm here to stay. Longer than this Summer." Well, maybe the part about staying longer than the summer wasn't always true. But there's no way I can leave now. I belong here in this world of adventure and fun, good and evil, fighting crime and making the world a better place.

    I rush downstairs. We can probably finish this conversation later. My priority is Adrien. I need to talk to Adrien. I need to explain to him so I can get advice, and consolidation that he'll stay with me and we'll stay together as the duo that we are. I tried to tell him earlier, but he wouldn't listen. Now that we.... you know... he's probably more willing to hear things out.

    "Is Marinette ok (Y/N)?" Her parents ask me as I rush down the stairs. I didn't even pack my bags. C'est la vie.

    "Yeah, she's just really sad because she missed all her friends when she was gone. Thank you so much for having me Mr. and Mrs. Dupain Cheng, it was a pleasure. I think it's best I leave now though, Marinette probably wants for everything to be back to normal."
