It is morning and I'm not sure if I can lie to my mom and ditch school. I can't just say Hey mom I'm a vampire and we sparkle under the sun so I can't go to school. And PS we are going to see if I have powers, bye!

I get up and put some clothes on and go to the bathroom I throw on some make up and run down stairs. I see mom leaning on the counter eating a granola bar. Man I miss food.

"Mom?"

"Yea sweet heart?" She looked up from her phone.

"Umm... I have to go to school early so bye."

"Okay" I look down and rush out of the kitchen.

Holy freaken balongla. I just told the biggest lie to my mom ever. I don't want to do that again.

As I arrive to Edwards house I see him and Emmett standing outside waiting for my arrival.

"Hey guys" I say walking up to the front door.

"How'd it go Madds?"

"I never want to do that again" I say putting my head into his chest.

"You know your gonna have to right?" Emmett says

"Come on Emmett not now" says Edward.

"Sorry" he adds and puts his hands up in defense

"So are you ready?"

"Ready as I will ever be."

"Okay let's go out back and we will meet the rest there." He says putting his hand on my shoulder and leading me

"Madison nice to see you again. Every thing treating you well?" Carlisle says

"Yea but the cravings suck."

"They always do"

"Well then let's get cracken" Emmett says

"Calm down Emmett you only want to get stared so you can show off" Alice adds

"Emmett is very strong" Esme says to me

Edward leads me to a stump. "What is this for?"I ask

"Arm wrestle" Emmett says

"Are you serious?" I ask

"Why are you chicken?"

"Oh your on now" I hear snickers behind me

Emmett lays his arm on the old tree stump and looks at me. I lay my hand next to his and take hold.

"Ready?' Edward asks I nod "three... two... one" I tighted my grip on his had and used all of my strength to push his hand down.

I hear him grunting and look up at him. He looks surprised that he has not won yet.

I use more force and see him getting weaker. He moves his hand slightly and pushes mine down. This is stupid but I will not let him win. I use all of my force left and his hand drives into the stump.

" Gosh Maddie when did you get so strong?" Edward asks

"Since you came along." I look at Emmett and still see him in amazement

"Okay let's go inside and work on other things." Esme says

When we get into the house we go and sit in the living room. I plop down on the couch and Edward sits next to me.

"So as you know I can read minds and Alice has visions of the future." Edward says

"So how can we see if I have abilities?" I ask

"Yea how are we gonna do that?" Emmett asks Carilisle

"Well" Carilisle thinks " Our friend Logan has the power to sence powers but he lives in Africa"

"Well that will help" Rosealie says

"Stop Rosealie now this is not the time." Esme says

"Alice have you seen anything?" Jasper asks

"No, nothing"

"What about Kate?" Edward asks "How did she find hers?"

Carilisle smirks. "Well she shocked Tayna when they were fighting."

"So she has to get mad" Rosealie says

"Actually I think that is right" Carilisle says

"Who is gonna make her mad?" Alice asks

And I fell all eyes turn to Rosealie. "I am not doing that" she says

"Why can't you just do one thing for me Rose?" Edward asks

"Because she is not my property I don't need to look out for her."

"What is your problem?"

"I'm am not going to sit around and wait for her to hurt you like Bella did!"

"Could you both stop!" I yell. The lights flicker and everyone stops and freezes

"Madison do that again." Carilisle says

"I don't know how I did that."

"Just think of those emotions and try to turn of the lights."

I close my eyes and focus. I think of my dad and my mom and Alex. I think of everything th at has happened with Elise. I hear a slight squeaking. I think of the accident and how every thing happened so fast. Then I heard the bulbs burst. I cover my head and open my eyes.

"What was that?" I ask

"That was you" Esme says

"Control over electricity" Edward says to himself and laughs in astonishment.
