The Day When *Finished*

The End pt. 1

I can't stand it anymore, I'm going to Elise's house.

I hop out of my bed and throw some old clothes on, and run down stairs.

"Honey what's the matter, are you okay?" My mom stood over Peoples Magazie in her work clothes. "Maddie?"

"Nothings wrong mom, I am fine. I just have to go and fix something. Can I borrow your car?"

"Maddie I have to go to work. What do you have to go fix?" She pushed the magazine aside.

"I will tell you when I get back mom. Is dad's truck still here?"

"Yeah honey, it always is." I could hear the consern in her voice. I would tell her but she would just get in the way and I can't have that happen.

I need to see Elise and I need to explain to her that I need her back as my friend. All of those year of inside jokes and crazy conversations. Those can't just go down the drain.

"Bye mom, i'll see you in a bit." I rushed to the garage and got in the truck.

Where are the keys! I say to myself

I pull down the mirror and they fall into my lap, and I put them in the ignition. I open the garage door and pull out into the street. I don't know how I can drive I am so nervous. Elise and I are going to be friends again. I hear the raido go fuzzy and a pop.

I have to control my emotions.

I look at the spidomiter 49, in a 20 mile zone.

Crap.

And then a too familiar sound and the sight of a stop sign in my rear view mirrors and a mini van to my right. Then black.
