The Day When *Finished*

Getting ready for prison

I drag myself out of bed at 6:15 In the morning to get ready for school. I'm not a fan of this not being able to sleep thing. I walk to my closet and pull out a Spartan Girl School Volyball tee-shirt and some blue skinny jeans. I sluggishly pull those on and get my black Converse.

I run to the bathroom past my brothers room and stop in front of his door. I press my ear against the wooden door. He was snoring I check the clock on the wall, 6:30. He is going to be late to school again.

I run to the bathroom and grab my make up bag. I dump the contents of the bag into the sink. I quickly slap on some mascara and lip gloss.

After I put everything back into its original place I go back to Alex's door, still snoring. I cheak the clock again 6:40.

"ALEX!" I yelled at him banging on the door. "ALEX!''

Ther was russiling at the other side of the door and then it opened. Standing there was a groggy Alex with hair in his face and sleep in his eyes.

"It's 6:40 Alex you are going to be late again."

"And you Madd have not even brushed your hair gosh get with the program." I reached up felling all of the knots in my brown hair.

I run back to the bathroom and grab the hair brush and quickly brush my hair.  Then I run down the stairs to the kitchen table and look over my homework. 

As I am looking over question 8 Alex walks down the stairs not a care in the world and grabs some cereal. He sits next to me.

"No breakfast?"

"No"

"Why not?"

"It's complicated"

"Wow arnt you miss grouchy pants this morning."

"Yea I am. So you need a ride to school today or is somebody else taking you?" I say putting up my papers into my bag.

"I'm hitch hiking with Carter."

" Okay have fun. Don't get kidnapped."

"Okay Madd bye"

"Bye Alex" I say grabbing the keys and leaving.
