I go home and sit on the couch reflecting on what just happened. If Elise would have kept on being herself I could have exposed myself.

I grab the remote and turn the t.v. on. As it turns on it is on the morning news.

Forks Washington rain throughout the day. Mid 50's.

Yea if I had a penny everytime a weather person said that.

I changed the channel and let it play as I am on my phone. There is a knock at the door.

I get up and walk to the door and open it. A small guy with long brown hair and a scraty brown beard with speaks of grey.

"I am looking for Chris Baker?" His voice is even more gravely than his appearance.

"Umm... he doesn't live here"

"Sorry he told me to find him here at 10 am. Sorry 'bout that I'm George but me friends call me Gravy." He sticks his greesy hand out for me to shake.

"Okay Gravy bye" I shut the door in his declined hand shaked face. I pop my head out the window and watch George wobble out to his black truck.

I run to my mom's office where it has her planner which she writes everything in.

I search for her planner and find it in her desk.

Okay I say to myself

8:00 am meeting with Jay Smith

10:00 am Chris coming over for meeting then staying for dinner.

11:00 am lunch with Amanda Plenge about business proposal

Wait why is dad comming over for dinner?

I run to the living room and look at the clock on the wall. 10:07. Crap he's comming, He's late, but He's comming.

I hear the door squeak open.

"Maddie my daughter what are you doing home, don't you have school?"

"Don't you have rehab?"

"Sober"

"For now" I say mumble under my breath "Some guy named George came by"

"George?" he replys

"Gravy?"

"Oh yea Gravy. Sorry you had to see him Madison. He smelt like old French fries didn't he?"

"I don't know, I didn't pay attention to what he smelt like."

"Whatever. So why are you home anyway?"

"I didn't feel good"

"Yea you look a little pale"

"Yea okay well I am going to go to my room and sleep so don't disturb me."

"Wait Madison. Are you trying to run from me?" I stay silent "You are, aren't you? Why do you do this Madison I'm your father"

"How long has it been since you haven't been sober?" He stands there "It wasn't my birthday or Alex's, it wasn't Christmas."

"Madison I..."

" No don't say anything you know I'm right you haven't been sober in 6 years. My last birthday that you were sober at was my 11th. And when Alex was 9 you brought a slut home and told her she could stay the night in his room."

"Madison I'm sorry" I can see his eyes tearing up

"Good" I say and go up to my room, my face hard as stone
