Ethan's POV
I walked into the house to see Grayson standing in the kitchen making a sandwich.
"It's about time you came home." He laughed, spreading some mayo on his bread.
"I had to help her clean up and then we talked about stuff for link crew." I said, kicking off my slides.
"For five hours?" He looked at me.
"Um, yeah, is there a problem with that?" I asked, pulling my phone out of my pocket to see that I had a text from my mom.
mom: your father and I wont be home until sometime tomorrow, our flight got delayed.
"Wait, you're telling me that you and Lexi were alone for five hours and ALL you did was work on link crew stuff? And you didn't do anything else?" He said suspiciously.
"Grayson, she's my best friend not my girlfriend, we didn't anything that you're thinking of." I said, grabbing a Coke from the fridge.
"Okay fine." He said, giving up.
"What about you and Madisyn?" I asked, leaning against the counter.
"What do you mean?" He asked, clearing his throat and not looking up at me.
"When she showed up this morning at Lexi's, she said hi to you and was blushing." I explained. Gray looked up from putting on the final touches on his sandwich. I took a sip of my Coke.
"Fine. We may or may not have done something that I may or may not regret doing." He said quietly.
"You guys hooked up??" I asked in shock.
"You can't tell her that I told you!" He said, his voice a serious tone.
Lexi's POV
"Hey so what did you want to tell me earlier?" I asked, as I looked at my best friend's face on my phone as we Face Timed.
"Oh, um, is Ethan still with you?" She asked hesitantly.
"No, why?" I asked, thinking maybe this had to do with him.
"It has to do with Grayson..." She said quietly. I suddenly felt slightly relieved, but I don't know why.
"Okay, what is it?" I asked.
"I really like him and-" She was saying until I cut her off.
"Oh my gosh, why didn't you tell me sooner??" I smiled.
"-we kinda hooked up at the party." She finished and my smile faded a bit.
"Wait, kinda?" I asked in confusion.
"We hooked up." She said, a look on her face that I couldn't quite distinguish- maybe excitement, or uneasiness.
"And...?" I asked, as I'm sure she was at least a little bit drunk at the time.
"I don't regret it." She shrugged. Madisyn has always been the girl to be the most innocent and pure of our friend group, the one who said she would wait until marriage to do the dirty.
"Do you think you guys will date?" I asked.
"What is this, twenty questions?" She laughed a little. I shook my head.
"Sorry Mads." I laughed.
"It's okay, I mean I guess it is big news. For me at least." She said, smiling, a genuine smile.
"You know... Valentine's Day is coming up soon." I smirked.
"Right back at you!" She laughed.
"Me?" I laughed.
"Yeah, you can't tell me you don't have at least a bit of feelings for Ethan." She said, causing me to roll my eyes.
"How many times do I have to tell you Madisyn?? We're best friends, nothing more." I told her, noticing that she's been making comments about Ethan and I a lot recently.
"I'm just saying, you guys would be hella cute together and if I payed attention correctly in biology, you two would make some adorable babies." She laughed.
"Madisyn stop!" I said, hiding my face as I contained my laughter.
"Whatever!" She said. "Oh, speaking of, I gotta go. Grayson's calling."
"Ooh good luck girl." I said, leaving with a wink and hanging up the video call. I sat there processing the conversation we had. I wonder if Tatum, Nessa, or Charlotte thought the same as Mads... I've kinda been drifting away from Nessa lately, but I still talk to Tatum and Char every once in a while. My phone suddenly began to ring, interrupting me from my thoughts. I picked it up to see Ethan calling.
"Hey, miss me already?" I answered.
"Yeah, a lot." I heard him say, followed by his familiar laugh.
"Madisyn told me something a few minutes ago..." I said, knowing Ethan wouldn't tell anyone else.
"Really? Grayson told me something about Madisyn." He said, and I sighed in relief.
"They had sex." I blurted.
"I know, I didn't see that coming." He commented.
"Me either! Madisyn is so innocent when it comes to those things, I didn't expect this out of her. Like yeah she drinks but only every once in a while." I agreed. We talked on the phone for awhile until the pizza I ordered before calling Madisyn arrived.
"Dinner's here, I gotta go Ethan." I said, standing up and beginning to walk out of my room.
"Alright, I'll talk to you tomorrow!" He said.
"Ok, bye love you!" I said quickly, hanging up. I walked down the stairs to see my mom already answering the door. I waited until the pizza delivery person left.
"I need your help with setting up a date..." I smiled, following her into the kitchen, a million thoughts running circles in my mind.
