I opened my eyes and saw that I was in a hospital gown and bed. Ethan was talking on the phone looking out the window.
"Okay, see you soon." He said before turning around and noticed me awake. A sigh followed.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, walking over to the edge of the bed.
"Okay, I guess. I have a massive headache. What happened?" I asked him, only recalling a little of what happened at the party. I remember going swimming and then when we got out, Spencer and Ethan got into a fight. Then I went inside to find Grayson and that's all I remember.
"Well you had a lot to drink. You went upstairs to look for Grayson so we could leave and you were really dizzy and couldn't walk, and you probably had a fever of like 105, from what Gray said when he found you. We left and once we got in the car to bring you here, you lost consciousness. The doctors wanted you to stay for awhile so they could watch you." He explained to me.
"Where's Gray? And what time is it now?" I asked him. I took off the blankets and sat up, my legs hanging over the side of the bed.
"He's on his way over now. I told him he could go home and I would stay with you. It's almost 7 am now." He told me.
"Oh my god, my parents are gonna kill me." I said realizing they would get a bill from the hospital.
"Hey, let's not worry about that right now. You're okay and that's what matters." He sat down on the edge of the bed and kissed the side of my head. I looked down at the wristband on my left arm. Printed on it were the general things about me.

There was a knock on the door before a doctor came in.
"You have two visitors, do you want to see them?" The short woman in a white coat asked.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"Two?" I asked Ethan and he shrugged. Grayson walked in followed by Ben.
"I brought you some snacks, I didn't know if you would be hungry or not." Grayson said, setting the bag down on the side table. I stood up and he hugged me.
"I'm sorry this happened." He said as he hugged me tightly but still acting as if I was fragile.
"It's not your fault, it's mine." I told him.
"It actually might be someone else's. A lot of other people got sick too." He let go of me.
"Really?" I asked in surprise.
"Yeah, almost this whole floor is full of people who went to the party." He said.
"Hi." I said turning to Ben.
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I knew you'd be in good hands, especially with Ethan here." He smiled.
"Thank you." I half-smiled. The doctor poked her head back in the room.
"Lexi, you're free to go now."
AT HOME...
"Please call me if you need anything, okay?" Ethan said as we sat in his car outside of my house.
"I will. Thank you for taking care of me." I said as I leaned in and kissed him.
"I love you." He said as I opened my door.
"I love you more." I responded, grabbing my stuff and getting out. The doctor said that I couldn't drive for the next 48 hours and obviously no alcohol/drugs. I walked to the front door and unlocked it, walking inside. It was now almost nine thirty.
"Where have you been?" My mom asked, looking me up and down. I guess I looked a little rough. We left the party and all I was wearing was my swimsuit with my shorts overtop, meaning my shirt got left behind at Mason's. We stopped at Ethan's so he could get his car, as Grayson had to take the three of us in his car. Ethan gave me one of his shirts to wear, and my hair was a mess, both from the saltwater last night and not being brushed since yesterday.
"I was with Ethan." I told her, getting nervous that she'd seen the hospital bill on her account already.
"I just never heard from you at all. I'm heading out soon to have lunch with your aunt. She's here for a business trip." She told me.
"Okay. I'm gonna go shower and get changed." I said, quickly leaving the room and going up the stairs. I turned on the water and soon steam filled the bathroom. I got in and took my time washing my hair and body. I turned off the water and got out, going to my room to get dressed. I looked at my phone to see a text from Ethan about half an hour ago.
ethan <3 : have your parents found out?
me: not yet. they most likely will see sometime today and then i'll get a lecture and probably get grounded
I replied before putting on a pair of sweatpants and one of Ethan's hoodies. About half of my closet now is just Ethan's stuff.
ethan <3 : they can't ground you, you're 18
I was about to reply when my dad yelled my name extremely loud.
"Lexi Randall!" My stomach dropped. He only uses my middle name when I'm in trouble.
"Coming!" My voice was slightly shaky. I put my phone in my pocket and went downstairs. He was sitting at the kitchen table, his laptop in front of him.
"So I was going through my paperwork and paying bills. I noticed that there's a bill from Mercy Hospital." He said looking up at me.
"Um..." I was unsure of what to even say.
"Where really were you last night?" He asked.
"I was with Ethan." I responded quietly.
"Intoxication! Why in hell did you get admitted to the hospital for intoxication? With Ethan?" He raised his voice.
"It's not Ethan's fault!" I argued.
"How is it not his fault?" He asked me.
"I'm sorry! I'll pay you back as soon as I can." I said, sighing.
"That's not why I'm upset!" He said, pain in his eyes.
"Then what is it?" I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.
"The fact that we could've lost you! He was with you. He could've prevented this from happening!" He yelled, slamming his fist on the table.
"I don't want you hanging out with him anymore." He sighed.
"Dad! He's my boyfriend!" I protested.
"As long as you're living under my roof, you're not gonna hang out with him." He threatened.
"I'm eighteen." I said through gritted teeth.
"I'm still your dad." He snapped, walking away and out the front door.
