JUNGKOOK's POV
The cloud that had attached itself to my spirit the moment I stepped in this auditorium seemed to get heavier with every step I took. By the moment I saw my parents, sitting on their seats, patiently waiting for my big ceremony to start, I tried to convince myself that this day will still end up alright.
Though her absence today is really affecting me.
"Is our alpha student of the year, ready?" Jin approached me while I was still staring at my parents on the crowd.
"Yea, we finally made it" I half-smiled, giving him my congratulatory message.
"Jungkook! There you are! Where are Mr. and Mrs. Jeon? I want to see them." Jimin jogged toward us as he slid his toga on his body.
"They're already on their seats, Jimin. Just greet them later, after this" I just tapped his shoulder and shifted my feet.
"Since when did they arrive here?" tying the front knot of his graduation gown, Jimin asked.
"Just yesterday" I said. It was a long pause before Jin found the words to begin again.
"Any words from Lisa?" Jin filled in and asked.
"Yea, she actually texted me this early morning just to congratulate me. She has a check-up schedule for today so we'll just talk again tonight" I frowned for a moment there but I immediately cushioned it with my faint smile.
"Jungkook" they both muttered as they just gave me a smile with full of empathy.
"Really guys? I'm okay, okay" I managed to let out a little laugh only to hide my true emotions inside.
"Maybe, she will be here today. She just doesn't want to inform you for she is planning to surprise you!" Jimin said, and in a back room full of graduating students, his excitement on his consoling words was hard to miss.
"Jimin is right! I thought that too!" with same expression, Jin gave his second the motion.
"You know what, you two are just making harder it for me. I already accepted it and I'm not mad about it though I'm a little bit hurt but yea, I'm okay now just don't worry about me, okay?" I leaned forward, giving them a light tap on their cheeks.
Lisa told me to be happy today and that's what I'm trying to do.
"Jungkook!" Jennie yelled, running toward our direction with Jisoo, Rose, Suga and Taehyung.
"Hey" I greeted back as she gave me a congratulatory tight hug. Of course, I hugged my cousin back.
"Congratulations our Jeon Jungkook! We're so proud of you!" Jennie stated as she tighten more our hug.
"Thank you Jen! You're next" I said, tapping her back. Just then, Suga went between us and tried to pull us apart.
"That's too much" he said as he successfully pulled Jennie away from me. I laughed a little at his words.
"Congrats Jeon" Jisoo and Rose said in chorus. I just gave them a thankful nod. Just before Jisoo gave me a warm handshake, Jin grabbed her hand immediately and intertwined his on hers.
"Rude, what about me? You still haven't said anything to me." Jin said with a voice like a baby. Jisoo just giggled, and her soft 'eehee' lilted around the edges of even that. She tried to reach Jin's ear and whispered something.
