I stood for what felt like forever at her first classroom door and jumped the moment the Bell rung. People started pouring out of the class and I grabbed a hold of her wrist the moment I spotted the top of her head.

"Let's.. go the other way that doesn't involve passing your Mama's class." I said when she turned to look at me, wincing away from me like I jacked her up or something. She pulled her arm back and  moved passed me without a word as she looked down away from me.

I wonder what's her problem...

"Did I say something rude?" I asked her straight up as we went back down a set of stairs. She shook her head.

"I mean like earlier before I left." To get high. My brain finished. She sighed and shook her head.

"What happened to your voice? They have you screaming in class or somethin'?" I asked her. She offered me a small smile and shook her head. The mood lightened a lil bit.

"Oh, I get it. You're practicing being a scaredy cat." I said to her. She looked up at me and rolled her eyes.

"No, I know my lines by heart. I'm just thinking." She said to me as she look passed me and stopped. I looked up at the dim lights in the hallway. Then looked to the side where a tall window stood.

There was a storm coming and it made the mood between us thicken as I looked back at her the same time she looked up at me. "Thinking about what?" I asked her. She shrugged and continued to walk with me following her like a lap dog.

"You know you don't have to actually follow me around all day." She said to me. I nodded.

"I know." I answered.

"My mom told me you ran out of her class." She chuckled. I blushed. That's embarrassing.

"I didn't run, I jogged and she was being a smart.. Alec." I said to her as she turned and looked at me. She folded her hands in front of herself and shook her head as if disappointed in me.

"I thought you said she was cool and real." She said to me.

"She is, when she not on my case. I find it unfair." I said to her. She scoffed and started walking backwards in front of me.

"That's my mother for you. Unfair. Did you get in trouble? Normally people who walk away from my mom get in trouble." She said to me as a matter of fact. I shook my head and pulled my dreads up into a high bun. Sometimes I wished I could chop it all off, but I know I'd feel funny without them.

"Nah, the principal let me off with a warning. I 'ont stay in trouble like that." I explained to her. She stopped suddenly and I fell on top of her, my dreads had come undone from the lazy bun I made and fallen down around us like a curtain. My clumsy high ass just laughed at the surprised look on her face.

"I think I just fell for you." I said to her. She cracked a smile, but I could see red slowly flushing her face before she pushed up against my chest to sit up. Causing a few curious eyes to look over at us suspiciously while they walked passed.

"This doesn't look good for me." She sighed, cleaning herself off after I helped her up and we began walking again. Beside each other this time and slower.

"Why cause you tripped?"

"No, because I tripped and you fell. On top of me. I'm no saint, but I'd rather my mom stay out of my business." She said to me pointedly. Was that her weird way of saying she was into me?

"Are you into me?" I asked her. Just to be sure. She looked at me and blushed even redder than before. "Sabrina..." I teased. She looked away from me and sped up.
