Nash's POV
I stood at my assigned part next to Cameron, as girls took pictures with us. A few would kiss our cheeks. We weren't allowed to kiss their lips, but every now and then we'd kiss their cheeks. I look over, across the room, Carter and Taylor were taking pictures. I looked around the entire room, everyone was taking pictures with a few girls. But, that was when a girl in a wheelchair rolled up.
"Hey." Cameron smiled. The girls eyes lit up and she smiled.
"What's your name?" I smiled at her.
"Emma." she smiled nervously. You know at that moment when there's a person who's special needs, but in your heart, they're just like everyone else? She wasn't like everyone else. She was different, in a good way. She told me I was her inspiration, but I told her she was mine.
"It's nice to meet you, Emma!" Cameron beamed.
"Uhm, I love you guys, both of you guys!" She hesitated. I wanted to ask what her disease, or whatever it was, was. But there was something telling me, it didn't matter what she had or who she was. It mattered that she was a person and everyone has feelings. I don't think I had ever been so moved by someone.
"We love you too!" I smiled at her.
"I traveled all the way from Kentucky." She smiled.
"That's so sweet. Must've been a long flight!" I smiled.
"We drove." She laughed.
"Then that's an even longer wait to get here!" I smiled at her.
"It was worth the drive. I really wanted to see you guys. You guys make me smile. whenever I'm going through a rough time. And if you can't tell, I'm going through a lot." She smiled.
Her eyes seemed to light up the room. She was the sweetest.
"How old are you?" Cameron asked.
"I'm fourteen, today. I begged my grandpa to drive me. He agreed only because it's my birthday!" She smiled.
I pulled her into a big hug and whispered into her ear "Happy Birthday sweetie. I love you!" I let go of her last, you never know how long someone needs a hug. She took her picture and left. I could tell Cameron was even moved by her. She was so sweet, even if she was going through things.
