Purple Child

Keith was continuing his battle with the large lizard, it was quick, but Keith was able to doge it but he couldn't land any hits, it was too focused on him and kept dodging. Keith needed something to distract the creature. It's eyes then looked dead in his eyes and it started to dash straight at him. Keith ready his blade, the lizard lunged up and over his head and left running through the exit. It was gone Keith was dumbfounded he took a deep breath in.

'Hello, Keith do you come in!' Keith jumped, it was Shiro's voice.

"Yeah, Shiro I'm here! I just had a run in with the creature."

'Are you alright!?' Shiro question.

"Yeah, it just left suddenly."

'Glad to know you're okay, any way we are evacuating now the planet is becoming unstable are you with Lance and the other survivor?' Shiro questioned, Keith looked to the exit the creature left through, he then panicked and started running towards and through the exit, he remembered he heard Lance yell come from that way. He told Shiro he would contact him later, everything then became a blur panic all that went through Keith's head was Lance's face, his laugh his smile his eyes his peaceful face that he'd only saw once he had to save him he needed to apologize he wanted to continue to get to know him as well as see his sleeping face again.

Lance was carried the child on his shoulders they smiled and giggled. This gave him a joyful and nostalgic feeling of when Lance carried his younger siblings on his shoulder in the fields back on earth he remembered the giggles and warmth of the sun and the calming ruffle of the leaves from trees, and the fresh country air. Suddenly his memories were interrupted by a pair of glowing eyes. It gave a low growl, Lance stepped backed and activated his Bayard in his hand, the kid gripped onto Lance as its body quivered in fear, the creature stepped out of the shadow it was like the lizard but bigger it then leaped at them.

"Hold on tight!" Shouted Lance. He then slid to doge but he did it too fast and hit his shoulder on the wall, a cracking noise was heard and lance felt a sharp pain, but he still had his other arm to shoot.

He aimed, "Bulls eye!" Lance grunted in pain, he was able to shoot the eye of the creature. They continued to travel quickly down the path as the lizard roared in pain. The kid still grabbing on he looked up to see their fur sticking up but they were smiling, it looked as if he just got off a super scary roller coaster. "You okay?" Asked Lance, they shook their head and still smiled excited, Lance was pleased that he impressed the child, and smirked at the thought. Soon a familiar voice was heard.

"Lance!" Keith shouted, he finally caught up to Lance he was absolutely relived he was okay. "Is that the survivor?" He questioned while trying to catch his breath, they looked at him in curiosity. Their ears were perked up and their eyes were wide open they leaned in closer.

"Yeah." Lance had crouched down to let the curious kid down, he grunted in pain. "Ah crap!"

"Lance are you alright!?" Keith asked in concern the kid looked at him concerned as well. As lance was about to answer the Lizard came barreling down the tunnel for its prey. "You two stay back!" He said as he charged toward the creature without hesitation to protect the two.

"Wait! Let me help!"

"No you're obviously injured stay back and let me handle this! Plus let's say this is me paying you back for last night!"

Lance blushed. "This is completely different! Just let me help!"

"Fine! Then distract it."

Lance started to look for things to distract the creature until he felt a tug at his hand. "What is it?" The kid had collected rocks while they were bickering. "This is perfect."

"Keith watch out for the rocks!"

"What!" They both started to throw rocks to distract the creature.
Once the creature was locked onto Lance and the kid Keith readied his weapon for the final blow.

"Ready Keith!" Lance screamed while protecting the kid by putting his uninjured arm in front as a barrier. The lizard wiggled and jumped readied to eat its prey. As soon as it was less than two feet from Lance's face Keith hit the final blow slicing the creature in half.

"Yeah! We did it Keith! We all make a good team huh?"

"Heh, we do."

"That was awesome, wasn't it!?"

Sorry this took so long! Hopefully this was thrilling enough and worth the wait!
